Oliver Bond saying Ruben Neves in Liverpool today. Unsure how reliable he is. Eds i trust you guys, any truth or potential truth in it? Thanks in advance.

{Ed001's Note - the question is, where is Mendes? Because Neves is not going to be signing anywhere just because he is there without Uncle Jorge to tell him what and where to sign. The last I heard we had no interest in Neves for this summer and Mendes wanted him to play a season in the Prem for Wolves to boost his price. Oh and the player wanted to stay one more season himself.}

Pity but just as i expected Ed001. that's why asked you guys. Thanks for swift response mate.

{Ed001's Note - as far as I can find out right now, nothing is happening over transfers until after Wednesday night. At the earliest. I really don't expect Neves to go anywhere this summer though.}

2.) 30 Apr 2018 16:03:43
Maybe he's in Liverpool for work permit related issues at the immigration office?

3.) 30 Apr 2018 16:40:21
He’s Portuguese shouldn’t need a work permit.

4.) 30 Apr 2018 16:55:06
Ed seeing as can leaving we will be missing a physical presence in midfield which I think is important, what would be the chances of getting loftus cheek I think he is a quality player what's your thoughts on him as a player an availability.

{Ed001's Note - about the same chance as there is of Coutinho returning in the summer. He is lazy, not a Klopp player at all. Very talented but doesn't do running.}

5.) 30 Apr 2018 17:49:12
He's Portuguese and doesn't require a visa to work in the UK so he won't be in Liverpool for that reason.

6.) 30 Apr 2018 18:03:18
Ed 1 what do you think of neves would he suit us? Do any of you look at the wolves page there more deluded than us some of the names they mention for signing is crazy 😂😂.

{Ed001's Note - he has been absolutely outstanding in the Championship, way above the level of anyone else. I think he would be a very good signing for any team in the Prem.}

7.) 30 Apr 2018 19:05:48
Thanks. I had no idea about the visa requirements.

8.) 30 Apr 2018 19:16:29
Thanks ed.

{Ed001's Note - welcome mate.}

9.) 30 Apr 2018 20:40:11
Heard Neves was getting a flight to his home town of Porto, you can fly direct from Liverpool, can't see him going anywhere after just one season at Wolves .

10.) 01 May 2018 01:43:26
He'll stop at Wolves and should fitness be ok and his form continue next summer some big team will snap him up. At only 21 years old to be playing like he is playing is pretty remarkable, the lad is going places, hopefully to Liverpool next season. I'd love it if we put in a big bid for him, he's ready for top level already, Neves, Keita, Hendo/ Ceballos, I'd be chuft with that, to say the least.

11.) 01 May 2018 09:59:49
My opinion is we will do what we did with VDV, not take a gamble at 10m and then buy him for 75m once he has proven himself at a smaller Prem league team.

12.) 01 May 2018 18:50:00
Kwhizz-Neves will cost a lot more than 10m!

13.) 01 May 2018 19:34:23
Cobra. yes mate, I was just using VDV as an example, we could have bought him from Celtic for 10m but waited, Neves may cost his next club 20-25m but the club after that will pay a lot more.

The lad i think you're referring to is the young inter milan striker Pinamonti who is only 18 19. He apparently had a good record at scoring at youth level. And is being tracked by a few clubs. Am sure eds will have more info than me.

Think it could be a good learning experience for him. Would you rather he stayed sheltered in youth football or a safe job? he's taken on a very big and difficult challenge just like he used to do on the pitch for us. Even if its a failure its good for his experience, and he will learn very important lessons for the future. Like him or not one thing we can't take from him, is that he is a brave man and a leader. Good luck Stevie and fair play for not choosing the easier path.

Glad its come to a conclusion. Was obvious he wasn't staying and holding out for best deal for him and agent. Good player but we mive on with players who want to be part of Lfc.

I have no name. I was clearly meaning spending £200m after sales etc. Like the two Manchester teams can do, with there resources. Let's trust our transfer team and klopp, they have done brilliantly in the market up to now.

Well said 87red i posted something similar last week. Like deja vu. Am afraid if you're expecting us to go sign world class players you clearly don't grasp what klopp and fsg are about. We can't just go and throw £200m on defence in one window etc. And tbh id rather klopps way anyway love watching players grow and improve like ox mane salah id have that any day over pogba sanchez etc.

Well said smeg you raise a very good point. At times utd city chelsea have several £30-60m players coming off the bench. At times especially at end of the season we had mostly youth or players only just retuning from long term injuries to come on. Let's hope we have more luck next season with injuries and add 3,4 quality bodies to help out and add that extra quality in depth.

Well said. Klopp, Edwards and the rest of the staff. Have done a brilliant and brave job in recruiting recently. And under a lot of scrutiny from fans and media questioning a lot of our now invaluable players.

Put any gk behind that awful Stoke team, with the amount of shots and constant pressure. And most importantly with I'd imagine next to no confidence. Id guarantee that they would struggle at times. Butland is a experienced gk for his age, who had amazing potential and was well sought after. I found myself on here defending potential signings of van dijk, Robertson and Ox. Even saw people question Mane and salah signings also! I think Edwards and Klopp have earned our trust, and just maybe behind a far better team and the klopp confidence effect Butland may fulfil that early potential.
