The boys did ok today, It wasn't great by any stretch of the imagination but the important thing when things have been going so poorly is the result and we got that.
The game shows me what a different team we are when we have sturridge in our team, movement finishing etc is different class even at 75% fitness let's just all keep our fingers crossed that he stays fit.
Some of the posts mention Can and most are right this guy clearly isn't a defender please god Play him in A three with Milner and Lucas while Hendo is out.
All in all a good day for the reds though.now all this is irrelevant when the derby comes round? Anything could happen.
On a side note am I the only one that finds it hilarious that sky have clearly pasted sturridges head onto Benteke's body when they do the line ups at the start of the game its great!!!!!!!

Cont from previous post going back to Lucas the guy seriously deserves to be treated better if everything we read is to be believed.I still remember the Lucas that first came to the club with the long hair and the headband that couldn't pass the ball 5 yards who got dogs abuse at Anfield ( from myself included I have to say) but respect to the guy he got his head down and for a couple of seasons before the injuries started he was the best player of his type around.
Good luck lad if you do end up moving on.

It was the first game people don't get carried away either way.
A win at Stoke is always a good win however it comes.
A few things I noticed Gomez looked good again as in pre-season but please let's not get too carried away and put pressure on the kid.
Clyne looked superb.no drama solid in defence likes getting forward,I think he is going to be first choice for the reds and England for the next 5 years barring injury
Now the negative,just because we have a big man up front now doesn't mean every ball has to be put in the air just use it as an option not the "norm".I lost track of how many times Migs especially just"Hoofed" it up to him to do something with,with nobody around him?I am all for using the tac-tic every now and again but not every time.we looked best when we played a few quick passes around him etc
The bit that worries me is how long until the Coutinho to Real/ Barcelona surface again?I know he signed a new contract recently but that doesn't mean a lot these days.Does anyone know an approx sell on fee that was put in his contract?
All in all i'm happy with the result and let's face it that was most important today.

Agre on Benteke because he showed he can play the ball on the ground . As for Couts, the only way you keep your players is to stay competitive as in, CL qualification every season. Gone are the days where players stay at a club because they love it. If we are not competitive, you will lose them and we will lose him for albeit big money but he will be a loss we cannot replace and today proved that.

Wondered how long the calls for Sissoko would take! Thought it would take until at least after the game! One semi decent international game doesn't make a good player he goes missing for 95% of the games he plays in.

I agree if Henderson not fit enough to start, if he is possibly swap henderson for lallana and play 4-3-3 to give a bit more cover. But klopp does tend to play lallana.

Milner for lallana i think, and skrtl trained so maybe him back ( i wouldn't after the defences decent showing the other day ) But other than that I agree with your team.
