Wow. missed a few hours seems like i missed a hurricane! Not sure what happend but got the gist. ed002 come back, don't mind the fools, people get offended far too easy these days and as someone mentioned it's easy to be a "keyboard warrior" and abuse people not knowing some people can take it to heart more than most.
I appreciate as an editor and particularly as one that doesn't mince their opinions (one of the key reasons i like this site) you must get more than your fair share.
I hope ed002 comes back anyways as someone who has read this site for countless years and value their opinion greatly (whether i agree or sometimes don't agree with it - that's normal on a forum and debated are healthy and don't need to get personal or abusive) and would like to continue hearing the intel as well as their opinion.
PS. am i the only one who remembers years ago when ed002 revealed they were a Chelsea fan and also female. was that just a cover. as over the last while and particularly these posts I've seen "him" used a lot. did i miss the gender change or was the female comment from years ago just a spoof? (Not that it matters just purely curiousity getting the better of me. )
Keep up the good work eds and i hope ed002 can come back whether they're a he or a she or gender fluid or whatever the kids call it these days :-)

He was always male, it was a comment years ago about him being a female that became a running joke.

I agree with all the people here who comment such things for ed02. Hope, apperently she, soryy I was not informed about that, comes back soon as the site and all the regular people on it will miss her really much. The work she and all the other eds do (for free! ) its all for us so we can be happy and informed, unfortunatly some poeple don't understamd that and jump on them. I hope someday everyone will understand the different opinions. Really hope so.
Ed02 if you decide to leave I will understand as it may bee too much for you to handle all that undeserved abuse. Keep in mind tho that all the regulars here are with you and You Never Walk Alone!

Well folks, long time reader/ fanatic since the Ken Aguero days and the likes but finally registered!
Top notch performance last night shame about the 2 goals but if someone had told me at the start of the season we'd be 5-2 up in the champions league semi I reckon i may have taken it ;-)
Quick one on Bobby Firmino. hows his contract talks coming along do you know? All seems to have gone quiet and with 2 years remaining it gets into dangerous territory! Fundamental to the team but slightly worried as Can was supposedly signing a new contract for a good while then went quiet. not that i mind as much as I like Can, we can do better but Bobby is absolutely priceless! Have you heard anything as to why it's not signed yet or is it simply a case of waiting until the end of the season (a dangerous play in my eyes)

Sorry Ed, wasn't as clear as i would have liked my question is in relation to Firmino and the fact he hasn't signed a new contract yet. There was a lot of talk that he was happy to do so a while back but wondering what the delay is? I just referenced can as it was similar with him a year or two ago. Just worried with bobby coming down to his final 2 years on the contract. Have you heard anything in relation to Firmino?

Im a fan of loftus-cheek, although not sure he'd leave Chelsea for another side he wouldn't probably be first choice for. granted better chance of breaking in and getting game time probably at us as is but would be surprised. Would take him as a good squad option as well as a lot of potential to improve to potential starter. solid prem experience and still 22.
Wouldn't be devastated if it wasnt true but would certainly take him.
Dream summer for me would be fekir, cebellos, koulibaly, sessegnon and oblak. hence the word dream though. oblak no chance id imagine but id take butland.

Well fingers crossed he doesn't do himself any more damage and ideally has a good world cup! Then comes back safe and ready for a massive 2nd season!

Is he fit to start tomorrow? I worry he's going to play through the pain and risk causing serious injury to himself. especially as he's carrying that Egypt side. Id love to see him have a great world cup but my selfish side would much rather him come back safe and sound and fit for preseason!

Dont get me wrong id love sessegnon kids got amazing talent but to be fair a year in the prem for fulham is probably best for his career and he'll get his move. Ideal scenario would be sign and loan back to fulham for a year but with the money we're spending and the fact he won't come cheap I can't see that happening. But hey much wants more if we can't be greedy what can we do ;-)

Indeed so far so good. To be honest imo I'm fairly happy with fekir to cover the front 3.his signing brings so much not only a starter in midfield but another flexible player to play across the frontline and enable us to use different systems aswell as clearly at times last season we just lacked a plan b. With ox to return granted it'll probably be after Christmas before we see him match fit again he gives us options and id like to see Harry wilson giving a chance to impress. id imagine if wilson and woodburn can step it up in pre season and Impress it might help prove we don't need more, but that might just be me hoping the young lads can step up. Either way we already have so many more options due to the flexibility of our signings.
Very exciting times i can't remember being this excited and the transfer window hasn't even officially opened yet. Great to get the business done early and also key that van dijk keita and fabinho all missing the world cup amongst others should help be fresh. And while id love to see the likes of mane and Salah have great world cups the selfish part of me kind of hopes they both get knocked out in the group stages so they can have a bit of a rest even.
Either way im delighted with how we're getting business done and hopefully we've learned our lessons and are doing things above board!
