Hi Happy NY all. Think 2019 will be a very good one for our LFC.
Banter Question, as we're linked with Lloyd Kelly, thought of another fullback called Kelly. Martin Kelly. Always looked promising and was frustrating to not see him given CB opportunity as I understand his favoured position.
What went wrong? Was he really good enough and poor coaching and decisions or was he one of potential that flattered.

Injuries if im not wrong. I had lots of hope for him and in his debut match he did very well for us but injuries robbed him of playing for us. He was decent whenever he played for palace too.

And Flanno, so much expected but didn't deliver. Think Ed001 mentioned about some off field issues, the obvious one being the assault against his girlfriend. Shame really, being a local lad an all.

He had a few injuries early on didn’t he? Never blessed with pace and lost some there too maybe. But he just isn’t good enough.

Hope we don’t risk him. Rather think we should be able to beat Leicester without having to rely on one or two players. If not playing VVD tomorrow means he’s able to continue fine over the next few weeks I’d take that.

Not last nights Chelsea. Anyone think the players have stopped for Sarri after his comments? Seemed that way before and at Utd for Moaner.

75m for Gomez? Trent? One is always injured and the other is doing a great job but isn’t really that top draw a defender. Love them both but who pay £150m plus wages etc for them. I doubt we’d get our money back on Naby and Mane is too underrated to achieve the value he’s worth.

Not a ‘great’ but Paul Warhurst and Chris Sutton play both CB and CF at the same time. Don’t mean same game every week, but I recall both playing CB then couple games later up front. In fact Sutton was doing that at Norwich. Playing CB then scoring at the other end, then playing CF and maybe due to injury or opposition CB again. But he did well up front and went to Blackburn as a striker and again played CB. Chelsea I think kept him as a striker same at Celtic.
That how I remember those two players. Memories can be wrong so if anyone recalls different.

Weaker 11, still around 10 international players no doubt. I’d rest anyone seen as too important to be injured as the league has to be priority and not been in this position for a while.
Besides if we don’t play the likes of Moreno or Origi, some youth how will we know we can rely on them when needed. Shaqiri showed when used that he can cover the front line if required. Has Origi or Sturridge really shown that. Isn’t it better to know that Camacho or Hoever or Duncan are able? You’d rather try them next week at Brighton? Chelsea? Spurs? Wait until most are injured and have to play them increasing pressure?
I’d use the cups personally.
