I understand City was far and away the best team last season. But this year is different. I feel the only player that would guarantee start in LFC squad is Debruyne. The two squads on balance are pretty equal. I think it will come down to a bounce and some luck as to who will win it.

Agree0 Disagree18

15 Aug 2018 12:11:33
Walker probably starts over Trent
Most of their CBs would start alongside VVD over Lovren
Mendy is definitely in over Robbo
Silva and De Bruyne start in the middle with either Kieta or Hendo
The front three is debatable between Aguero/ Firmino and Sane/ Mane.

16 Aug 2018 10:47:09
Walker over trent? in what world?

14 Aug 2018 00:10:52
Anybody think spurs moved the opening game of their new stadium on account that we might well thrash them?
Spoil their party?!

14 Aug 2018 07:46:57
No mate lol.

14 Aug 2018 08:59:25
Doubt it. It's not like they've had blistering success playing at Wembley.

14 Aug 2018 09:19:18
No but maybe they know they are good at Wembley and played well against us there last season so have delayed a game or two?

14 Aug 2018 17:56:54
Gives us an opportunity to win at Wembley and put right last season’s result. and also to use it as a trial run for when we go back to Wembley later in the season for a couple of Cup Finals.

{Ed025's Note - big shout that tommy..

14 Aug 2018 21:00:58
To be honest SD, that was my first thought. It's obviously not going to be the reason, but I wouldn't want to play us in the first game at your shiny, new stadium.

14 Aug 2018 22:18:51
Doesn’t matter where we play them. We’ll smash them to pieces.

14 Aug 2018 23:22:36
That's the attitude to have bb, exactly mate!

15 Aug 2018 10:54:40
I'm pretty sure they moved the game because their stadium isn't going to be ready because let's face it, the last big infrastructure project in England finished to schedule was Hadrian's Wall.

15 Aug 2018 11:13:23
What have the Romans ever done for us eh?

15 Aug 2018 11:34:24
Well, for one thing Bardzo, no kids would ever run on to middle of the Colisseum. That must make you content enough, lol?

15 Aug 2018 12:18:56
New stadium, new manager I hate playing teams in these circumstances because they ALWAYS raise their game.
Spurs are a good team, spurs when they’re raising their game could smash us. Look at last season 😳.

15 Aug 2018 15:11:35
Exactly, Jucier. They'd already be wine servers at fancy Roman shindigs and earning their keep. Now that's utopia.

13 Aug 2018 19:43:36
The man who chased down Mo down a busy highway to get him to sign a magazine should be ashamed. Now he's getting referred to merseyside police for being on his phone. Ridiculous that one of our own fans would do that to one of the best players in the world.

Agree19 Disagree1

13 Aug 2018 21:59:34
Just watched that video. That fella is repulsive, calling Mo a horrible fella and then suggesting that mo isn’t acknowledging him because he’s got too much money. Why should he wind down his car window to some random obnoxious person in the middle of the toad. You’re a disgrace mate and a self entitled prat. Wouldn’t be surprised if that is why mo went on his phone to look busy and not have to engage that person. Unfortunately there can be no excuse for using a mobile whilst driving.

14 Aug 2018 09:26:49
Mo is stationary when on his phone, seems to put it down before he drives off, I think that's why they have let the police see it, totally innocent in my eyes.

15 Aug 2018 10:59:46
Mo is not innocent. Whilst in control of your vehicle, you don't use your phone. That's it.

Although the person chasing him is also still obviously in the wrong as well, and is not a liverpool fan - to the best of my knowledge he's a united fan but more importantly, is rob wiley - 'professional' autograph and memorabilia salesman with a history of inappropriately going for players and managers that either remember him or just refuse him, and of using children to try and get signatures. Recent arguments I remember him being in include Guardiola, Mkhitaryan and King Kenny.

15 Aug 2018 12:23:17
Mo should not be on his phone whilst in control of a vehicle. End of story 🤝.

{Ed002's Note - You are wasting your time Ron. They don't care what he does or who he is friends with - be it holding a phone or hanging with his racist, homophobic, torturing, religious bigot warlord buddy Ramzan Kadyrov. He can do no wrong.}

13 Aug 2018 10:36:38
What happened to that kid that came on the pitch yesterday to meet Mo Salah?
I know that it shouldn't be condoned but I really hope that the club / Police can see a little bit of sense and sympathy and avoid a draconian ban?

Agree9 Disagree5

13 Aug 2018 17:14:09
Have to disagree with that the kid knew before he did it what the consequences were going to be so yes he should receive a ban. He disrupted a game of football and with the way the world is now days could have tried attacking the player. If we condone this we condone everyone who does it.

{Ed025's Note - thats a fair point cod..

13 Aug 2018 18:39:37
If he's a regular then a lesser punishment should suffice, e. g. a ban of a certain number of games. Not 100% sure, but it appears it's the same kid who did it in the friendly too, he needs to learn this isn't acceptable but don't want to be too harsh, as he's just a kid.

13 Aug 2018 18:42:34
Attacking the player, what bite Salah's ankle?
I think the usual ban is 3 years, which would be utterly ridiculous IMO.
Six months or make him sweep the stands or something, for goodness sake?

13 Aug 2018 19:02:34
That’s a good idea - maybe like when you speed you take the points or do a course? So like 3 year ban or you sweep the stadium/ clean the boots or something aha!

13 Aug 2018 22:21:26
Should we really be banning or criminalising our youth?
Such a draconian reaction.

Well said Juicer, put the lad to good use and HELP him LEARN his lesson with something constructive!

13 Aug 2018 23:29:13
The sort of people who think he should get away with it are also the sort of people who have kids that tick everyone else off by not teaching them right from wrong and letting them do whatever they want. That kid will grow up to be nothing less than an oik if he is told that his actions are ok and he can do what he likes, going unpunished. It's called discipline, it's not being cruel or draconian, it's just teaching people to respect their place in the world and that rules are there for a reason. Ban him and he'll learn his actions have consequences. Let him keep going and give him a leaflet or whatever and the leaflet will just end up in the bin and he'll learn nothing.

13 Aug 2018 23:53:27
You haven’t met my kids, Angry.

Sadly not all children come form a household like mine, maybe that’s where the rest of society should come in and help out.

Or you could just write them off and throw them on the scrap heap?
I hope it’s your house they’re burgling in ten years time, then! 🤦‍♂️.

14 Aug 2018 01:03:41
Yep ban him or you will get kids running on to get the chance to clean the players boots lol.

14 Aug 2018 11:03:29
If i was west ham id sign him up done a better job on salah than the west ham defence.

14 Aug 2018 11:15:11
Eufa don't take kindly to fans on the pitch.

14 Aug 2018 18:14:56
Sorry what? Society should help people control their kids? It's that attitude and lack of self responsibility that means people don't give two hoots about anything anymore. Ban his parents then if you're so precious about the lad. Maybe it'd give them the kick up the jacksy required to teach their offspring rights and wrongs.

{Ed002's Note - Sorry, there is a common sense issue here. Firstly, it is nothing to do with UEFA. The Premier League has no interest in chasing after kids or any other individual, they would go after the club who are responsible for the safe conduct of the fans in and around the stadium. The club has guidelines and anyone buying a season ticket or match day ticket needs to understand that they are signing up to those guidelines when they buy their ticket. By the letter, the kid will be at fault and the club will be at fault. However, there needs to be a very simple bit of common sense applied where the kids parents or guardians need to be told in writing by the club that such behaviour is irresponsible and unacceptable and cannot be repeated, and the club need to write to the Premier League explaining what action they have taken, apologise and cite it as an isolated incident. That would likely be the end of it. Caveat: I accept this is about Liverpool and the kid's father is more than likely to be imprisoned or unknown to the mother, and the mother might well be working at all hours of the night earning the food money the hard way; as such it might be an "aunt" who is in charge of the kid.}

14 Aug 2018 19:15:01
Agree with you Bardzo, mate.

14 Aug 2018 19:55:44
Ridiculous caveats aside (it could quite equally be the mother in jail and the father working as a gentleman of the night - this is modern Britain, don't you know), I agree ed. I'm not for destroying a child's love of the game but there does need to be consequences and of course, the parents need to be made more responsible. Unfortunately, I fear a letter from the club would be nothing more than a trophy to put up on the wall.

These are the sort of incidents and reasons why we can't just enjoy anything anymore and things are so highly regulated. The 0.1% who do just what they like ruin it for the rest of us.

{Ed002's Note - A simple thing then just cut off a finger.}

14 Aug 2018 21:02:26
If only, ah those were the days.

15 Aug 2018 13:42:59
Make him clear up the dead/ dying pit ponies.

16 Aug 2018 23:42:04
I think a toe would be more appropriate ed.

16 Aug 2018 23:43:11
It was a kid running onto the pitch . Kids do get excited. The way some of you going on maybe we should just have him and his family put in stocks and pelted.

12 Aug 2018 18:46:24
Hi Gents, As usual brilliant work by the eds and a wonderful win today. Could anyone of you be kind enough to list me the best websites/ links to stream the Liverpool Matches, Thanks In Advance, YNWA!

Agree0 Disagree0

12 Aug 2018 19:52:40
'Ronaldo 7' is particularly good, offers multiple options when it comes to streams. Just google the match in question and add Ronaldo 7, I. e. "Liverpool Westham Ronaldo 7".

Next to each link they'll tell you where its originally being broadcast from, In terms of content I tend to prefer the British coverage but have had much better luck with the American ones when it comes to the quality of the stream.

12 Aug 2018 20:31:31
Yeah is probably the best streaming site. Tons of high quality links. Watched the World Cup in HD on there.

{Ed007's Note - You'll get top quality streams of any game you want here:

12 Aug 2018 20:55:11
I just use ManiaHD. It's a branch of SportsMania. It's roughly £50 a year but it has everything. All games in HD, PPV boxing and wrestling; and loads of other stuff. Pretty much every sport you could want. Considering that $ky would charge an absolute fortune for this, I think it's a bargain. I also have a Root-IPTV sub to use as a backup if there's ever a problem and that is also solid. You do get the best use of it with Kodi though.

13 Aug 2018 08:32:49
Gee, sounds complicated. I'm just glad that Football isn't the number one sport here is Oz. I pay $15 a month (about 8 pound fifty) on top of my mobile account with Optus, and get every single game of the season live and most of them available on demand anytime.

13 Aug 2018 09:13:45
Just google 'football streams reddit' and you'll find pages of them.

13 Aug 2018 09:25:13
Wow Burkey that is an amazing deal, for
£8.50 you can just demand when you want the teams to play 😂.

13 Aug 2018 09:36:14
Yep, lfchopeful. I demand they play at midday Saturday UK time. My account must be faulty though, bloody technology.

13 Aug 2018 12:01:19
Thanks Guys, Really Appreciate The Feedback.

13 Aug 2018 21:53:20
Reddit seems to be reliable. Given up on Kodi.

12 Aug 2018 17:23:11
Just joking but did Salah scored in 19th minute to represent our 19th title?

naby keita!

12 Aug 2018 14:20:00
Well keita looks a like he's been here for 5 years.

Trent looks like a 50 mil new signing.

Not to bad

Bench looks alright too ;) .

Come on arsenal!

Agree5 Disagree1

12 Aug 2018 16:08:29
Keita was boss. Trent had a decent game but you could see by his body language that he was frustrated and annoyed with himself after overhitting 3-4 crosses when our front 3 were in good positions.

He's still a young lad so hopefully he takes it all into his stride.

12 Aug 2018 18:20:58
I love Trent, but thought he had a mare today, much better to come from the lad.

Milner and Nanny were different class.

12 Aug 2018 18:41:16
I don’t think that was Trent at his best by any standard, he’s much better than he showed today. Give him a couple of matches and then he’ll be £50m.

12 Aug 2018 19:58:00
Not Trent's best game, his usual excellent crosses were poor and Gomez had to cover for him a fair few times. But if there was a game to have an off day, this was it, I have total faith in him.

Keita was good but will get better, Milner was immense and the front three were a little rusty in their interplay and yet still managed three goals between them. Goes to show how good they are. What really caught my eye though was our bench, most depth we've had in decades (especially with Lovren to come back) .

I know this is the Liverpool page but one for Ed001:- Not a bad start by Bielsa and his Leeds team.

{Ed001's Note - I know! I am loving seeing him managing in English football, they are playing some scintillating stuff. And the sight of him sitting on his upturned blue bucket has already become iconic to the Leeds fans.}

12 Aug 2018 18:07:35
It just goes to show the type of football they're going to be playing, not a surprise though really with him as manager. I know it's very early Ed1 but do you think he can bring them back up to the PL? I think if anybody can do it, it's him and I'd really like to see him in the PL. This season or next season I personally see them back up.

Yesterdays highlights for me was that result and Neves scoring in his first PL game, not to mention it been against Everton, what a lad/ player.

{Ed001's Note - I think Bielsa can tear that division apart.}

12 Aug 2018 19:42:53
That certainly wouldn't surprise me Ed.

{Ed001's Note - I am so looking forward to him in the Prem.}

13 Aug 2018 06:57:49
Ed1 does it surprise you no PL club hasn’t tried getting Bielsa in to manage them? He is legit some sort of mad footballing genius.

{Ed001's Note - he doesn't speak English, that was always a stopper to potential deals with him. It does surprise me though.}
