Given it’s almost a racing certainty that Matip will be on his way next summer I’d think that we would look to strengthen the defence as more of a priority. Also, there’s also the prospect of needing to look for a right sided forward either in January or next summer.

Think it all depends on how our midfield develops. Lots of unknowns. Suitability (Endo), fitness (Jones Thiago) and how RG and SBaj fit in. Will the latter two play 6 or 8?. time will tell I suppose.

I would say Andre as the long term Fabinho replacement no way Endo is that as he is a year older. I see Klopp mentioned Endo as the Milner replacement. So if he is as good as reports say I hope we bring him in in January then are midfield rebuild should be complete. I hope we don’t need a Matip replacement as I hope Quansah can be that and it is just the long term Virgil and Robertson we need to find. We will have to cross the Salah bridge when it comes.

I really do think Andre is a target signing for us most likely in January

Next summer I expect that Mo goes to Saudi and we will be looking at bringing in a couple of defenders including one maybe two centre backs.

Isn. ’t Bajcetic the likely long term successor to Fabs? You could argue that Endo was brought in to allow Baj to grow into the role over the next year or two.
