I take no pleasure seeing Everton struggle. Happy for them to finish second, as long as they finish below us. I guess I'm from an era where the crowd still mixed freely on Derby Day and half a family could be red, half blue, so I'd prefer the whole city to be happy with how their team are playing. Utd on the other hand, well, would happily see them relegated.

burkeyboy - I'm not scouse but I'm with you totally! maybe its a bit about having merseyside strong as a bastion of football over the show ponies from manchester and london lol But ye, I'm ok with everton being strong as long as we are still putting them back in their place, just below us!

Faith, I left Liverpool when I was 18 but it never leaves you. The city feel like a big family in a way and I wouldn't want to wish ill on any of them, Joey Barton excluded :) I'm a big Ed025 fan and would love to see him strutting his stuff in the city centre with Everton battering all teams but us and we've reminisced about the halcion days of Merseyside cup finals down at Wembley with red and blue shoulder to shoulder singing "Merseyside, Merseyside, Merseyside. "

{Ed025's Note - we certainly have burkey mate...halcyon days indeed, unfortunately we are a million miles from liverpools standard and it could be quite a while before those days are replicated my old mucker..
