Many worrying about LFC not being active in the transfer window as yet.

Arsenal are at a dead end signing players.

Spurs are taking risks which they cannot afford.

Cit have signed one player, replacement for Fernandinho. They likely need to move players on first like Delph before adding anymore.

Chelsea cannot sign anyone.

UTD are going to spend way over the odds if they want to sign anyone else.

Pretty sure we will see at least 3 players arrive before the window shuts. Looks like all transfer business is tight lip sealed coming out of Anfield but at least we can turn to the Eds for info when required.

Keep up the good work Eds!

Much like last season with Karius I think we will assess the players already here, Wilson, Lewis, Kent, Brewster etc. If they are up to the required standard I don't think we will do much this summer, if they are not ready yet then I think we might do something.

Possibly when african cup of nations finished we might see some action, pepe, cornet, chaukweze linked so maybe 1 of them, we do need genuine cover at left back milner is better in midfield an should cover in last resort emergencies . Sturridge has left so his position needs filling preferably with an attacking midfielder or flexible attacker, the team lacks creativity in midfield so that needs addressing as it was our weak point last season and if we don't address that we aren't getting stronger .

If Man Utd sign Longstaff for 50 million, then they've completely lost the plot.

Apparently they were in talks to sign Youri Tielemens but decided against it, and Leicester signed him for 40 million.

I don't know about you guys, but do the maths. A Belgium international with Champions League experience and loads of top flight experience and still only 22 years old, but no, you try and sign Sean bloody Longstaff instead for more. Madness.

Max so this is an opportunity for Liverpool.

Acered, what do you mean by opportunity. The players we sign will be backup to the 1st team.

The Eds have repearedly said do not expect a massive tranfer fee for a player like Pepe unless let's say Salah had to leave.

The Eds get it right most of the time. Our business will probably be done just before the window shuts. It is heading that way.

I know a lot of people want a new signing but not many even know what position they want strengthening. Maybe instead of spending a lot of money on a forward that won't play, or a midfielder in an already congested midfield, maybe AOC could fill that role and the club use the money to pay off some debt. Boring I know.

Left back cover and a quality attacker, who is so good that he is genuine competition for our front 3. that's it for me, Liverpool must improve the squad and it is good to have competition for places.

Finding that attacker is easier said than done, but I think we were lucky last season that the big 3 never sustained long term injuries.

Sounds like you're clutching at straws to justify us not signing anyone, seems to me you are just as concerned as the rest of us.

We need to secure and keep the gap that has developed

One or two in to just make it seem impossible to catch us, mind games with the other teams locker rooms. They do not want anyone joining this filthy Liverpool team. They couldn't catch us last year, imagine what goes through their minds if we get even stronger.

What those other clubs do has no bearing on who liverpool are signing.

Epic Potato- I read that Tielemens turned down united. I can’t remember where I read it or how reliable it is but that may be why?

c_matthews94 - If that's true then fair play to the lad. It just shows that he's not all about the money and chose to be part of Leicester for footballing reasons.

Still, as you say, not sure how reliable the source is, but may be true.
