Ed I know you said players have to take 3 weeks off in the summer. If mane gets to the afcon final on the 19th July, his three weeks will be August 9th. after the first pl game. Is that a possibility or can he come back sooner if that’s the case? I know salah took a week before the afcon, is that taken into consideration if it is a set rule?

{Ed002's Note - Why don't you want them to rest?}

I’m not sure I said that ed. I said does it have to be three weeks after the the afcon?

Everyone on this earth needs time every so often to relax and recharge their battery’s.

The last thing we want is to burn out our best players in their prime!

This is why we have massive squads. Let the bloke have rest!

To answer your question Firmane, yes they will have 3 weeks off from the time their participation ends. Same for all clubs I believe. At least it's better than losing our three to a January AFCON. Although I'm not sure a summer tournament in Egypt is a good idea. The next one's in Cameroon, where it'll be cooler but possibly raining all the time.

They could have started the tournament a little earlier so it ends beginning of July or something. Anyways much better than a January tournament considering we have a few African first teamers.

{Ed002's Note - Why would they change to fit in with Liverpool and the English league?}
