Cheers ed have a good one. I sense you're not a fan of Woodgate as a person! But what did you make of him as a player? That Real Madrid move seemed to come out of nowhere and I remember he spent most of his career injured.

{Ed001's Note - it is his own fault he was constantly injured. He was too busy running round getting hammered to ever be fully fit. He was a decent defender of the modern era, quick, strong, good in the air, but not a great defender, just very good.

It is not so much that I dislike him as a person, he is just a moron who ran with a gang of racist thugs and he was in a lot of trouble as a youngster. He left/was pushed out of (depending on whose story you believe) Boro to get away from the gang. He never lost the mentality though.}

Nice one ed, I think west ham got a steal in Pablo fornals for that fee. Still young and showing signs he can become a great player in the future.

Is that EFL trophy what was formerly known at one point as jonhsone paint trophy?

Yeah if I remember he was involved in the incident with Michael Duberry at Leeds too.

Slightly off topic but I believe it's another argument for the Rooney rule here. Former player with no managerial experience gets the gig. Would have been sweetly ironic had Hughton got the job instead considering Woodgates past!

Yeah if they finally got that 15-20 goal a season striker in next, their attacking options would be strong. On paper I'd imagine Valencia be more appealing option for maxi gomez. He looks suited perfectly for the premier league for a young lad he's strong and aggressive.

West Ham will surprise people next season I think. They could challenge for top six with Everton, Chelsea and United.
