Trent best player, or at least most dangerous player on the pitch today. wouldn't swap him for any other rightback in the league. Wan Bissaka is very good, but no Trent Arnold.

I agree mate. I've been keen to see him moved into midfield ever since He broke into the team, but honestly, I'd rather he stayed at right back now. He's the best right back in Europe for me.

I wouldn't say best in Europe. Attacking he is one of the best but he needs to improve a lot defensively. He is young, so should improve with the right coaching.

Trent and Rob are what we call Attacking Fullbacks. Yes defensively they would not be up there with Wan Bissak defensively but then again, we conceded less goals than City this past season so Trent and Rob fit the profile of how Klopp wants his attacking fullbacks to play. Wan Bissaka in that case may not be for us.

We havetwo ofthe best allround fullbacks in the League.

I don't think it does be bad defending outa Trent a lot of the times, it does be the fact he does be shattered playing the way Klopp demands which is up and down that right wing constantly for 90 mins. I don't think a lot of fullbacks are expeccted to cover as much ground, certainly not in more defensively minded teams like Palace. Again, not knockin Bissaka he's a smashing player just not expected to do as much as Trent.

Maybe not the best defensively in Europe but the best overall for me. I literally would not swap him for any other right back. I used to think the best was Azpilicueta but after watching him get rinsed repeatedly last season I've come to the conclusion that good full backs simply don't exist anymore so you might as well have the best wing backs 😂.

Little Naby, to hear that Martin Tyler questioned whether TAA is good enough to play in a back 4 for England just made me chuckle. I bet he will disagree with your narrative there. Lol.

F#$k Tyler, he probably STILL would have thought Pogba was the best player on the pitch today.

Wan bissaka is the best defensive right back in the league with probably azpilicuta in second. Trent is probably the best attacking right back in terms of whipping crosses in. Personally picking my team of the season I picked bissaka but it depends on how you want your team to play and the balance you want.

In a year or two Trent will be the best. He is improving all the time. That was Trent's first full season.

With Trent we need to remember the lad is only 20. He's improving with every week. Yes he's not defensively perfect but defenders at that age are never ever perfect. To defend well requires reading and predicting what will happen and positional awareness. Modern full backs who excel as defenders are rare today. Azpilicueta and wan bissaka defend well but lack offensively, Trent plays high and can get caught then as a result. He will only get better with experience defending and his offence game is as good as any FB around.

This repeated talk of his transition to midfield began well before a year or 2 ago and he played there in youth teams. But with his progression over last 18 months I wonder has that idea been scrapped, he's showing all the hallmarks of a future world class RB, I don't see the need to mess with that. Ed01 do you know if that midfield transition is still considered from within the club as of current time or is it just the past ideas from a year or 2 back wrongly still being suggested from us fans?

{Ed001's Note - you are forgetting he is only 20 and it is far too early to say he won't be changing position. Klopp likes versatile players.}

I would have thought that Trent is showing all the hallmarks of transitioning into a world class midfielder. Probably more box to box than a Xabi type, but he could be absolute dynamite playing next to someone like a Fabinho.

Yeah he's still so young and his potential ability will be exciting to watch. He's just developing into a great full back, he has so many strengths to his game he could play full back, right mid or right wing. And I've never seen him play centre mid but his attributes are most suitable. Excellent passing range, composure on the ball, aggressive and can tackle. The right side of a 3 man midfield seems ideal. His crossing is an absolute weapon. It's a dying art and not many in the game can whip a ball like him.

When Wan Bissaka was Trents age now he'd made 7 senior appearances. Trents just come off his 2nd Champions League final after breaking the Premier League assist record and taken the rightback position for his country with nearly 100 appearances to his name. Perspective.

2 very different players all the same, very opposite strengths between the two. Bissaka is a very good defender but limited attacking compared to Trent. I know at palace his role doesn't involve needing to attack. For a top club to spend the big transfer fee on him might backfire if he's limited going forward. Looks suited to palace but is he capable of offering more in attack? United being linked of late, surely the fans would get frustrated over time if he wasnt offering much. Wonder long term would right side of a back 3 be his strongest role. He's one of the best at standing up a player and not being got at. Like Azpilicueta played when Chelsea used 3.

He is the best attacking rb in the league, hands down. I don't think there is much debate there. I think he is the best rb in the league. That could be debated i guess.

But i wouldn't swap him for anyone on the planet.

Walker is fast, so is trent
Trippier is a dead ball specialist, so is trent and neither of them can threaten as much attack wise, the same way trent does.
