Ed1, wondered what your plan would be for the break between Sunday and the champs league final (feels so good to be even typing about that) . Would you send the lads off on a weeks holiday and get back down to business after that, or keep them training throughout and maybe try to arrange a few friendly, behind closed doors games? 3 weeks is a long time to dwell on such a big game and it’s plenty of time to lose all rhythm and fluency, seems like a tough period for the coaches and manager to deal with. Hopefully the experience of last year will count for something.

{Ed001's Note - if it was me it would be a week's holiday and then get them down to training again.}

They are talking about 5 day holiday for the players but no long haul flights by any of them then a warm weather training camp in Mabella or Majorca for a week then back to Melwood before leaving for Madrid on the Wednesday or Thursday before the game.

Don’t know about these warm weather training camps: they seem to come back sluggish. They do help with getting used to weather for Madrid though I suppose.

Spurs are supposed to be staying in London to train.

This is my fear.

These holiday camps have not worked imo

I woukd get them playing 11 a side in competitive scenario.

Keep them game mode ready.

Ed, what will you do during those two weeks? You won't be stressed out until the final will you?

{Ed001's Note - I will work on some new articles.}

Every time we’ve had an extended break between games we’ve come back rusty. Especially the top end of the pitch as the little fluidity hasn’t been there. The little tricks and flicks that create the chances always seem to be slightly off. That’s my biggest concern but something inside me tells me the boys won’t let that happen this time. The pain of losing in 2 European finals coupled with our knack of finding a way to win against the odds this season will see us finally win a final for Klopp. These boys don’t know how to lose anymore. Think Spurs will feel the pressure more than us as they’re not accustomed to games of such magnitude. No doubt our fans will more than double theirs on the day making it feel like a home game. IMO it’s ours to loose because experience plus quality is on our side. Bring no 6 home boys. YNWA.
