Thank you Ed001, a great read as always!

I could believe when I read about Schaer, in fact I read it a couple of times in yesterday's paper to make sure I had it right! How utterly negligent by both teams!

Also read about Real Salt Lake, what a bunch of muppets!

There's no cal (zone) for that sort of nonsense in the professional game.

If they were my local team they'd get a pizza my mind.

They should concentrate on the game and make sure they crowd out the midfield so their opponents don't have mushroom.

Then they may get the opportunity to pepper (oni) the opposition goal with shots.

I'll leave it there and let others pick up the baton ;-) :D.

{Ed001's Note - *groan*}

Good read Ed001 mate, I am not surprised by the 'shirtgate' saga given that Nike would be seriously averse to losing Barcelona as a sponsee given they sell more than 1.25million shirts every year whereas. PSG barely get 0.5million sales. even us, Chelsea and Arsenal do more than PSG in shirt sales. On top of this Nike has been losing out in sponsorship deals to Adidas - which must hurt them. That said, I'm glad it came over loud-and-clear in your piece that PSG remain a model of ego-driven, cliquey smugness that would make a big deal out of a self-created (and given) title that has no bearing on anything whatsoever. Very good read mate.

{Ed001's Note - I get that PSG sell less shirts, but Barca and PSG are very closely allied with Nike and are very unlikely to consider a move to another manufacturers.

And yes, PSG are an embarrassment.}

There should actually be severe punishment dished out for the sort of negligence shown for both Schaer and his Georgian counterpart. Utterly ridiculous to allow them to play after such a serious clash of heads. I fgind it difficult to believe considering the popularity of the game, not to mention the money slushing around in it, how backward football is at times. Why do you think football seems to be lagging so far behind when it comes to issues like this Ed?

{Ed001's Note - I really don't know or understand it mate. It is bizarre.}

Just read on BBC Sport that Headway (brain injury charity) want UEFA to launch an investigation into the incident.

Good, I hope it leads to punishment for both FAs.

Sport should kill.

Sorry. my last line above should say "Sport shouldn't kill".

2 missed letters, whole opposite meaning!
