I no ed002 has said that he doesn't believe there is interest from Liverpool in dybala but I wouldn't actually be surprised if that was to change over the coming months. As he can play in place of 1 of the front 3 but also and his preference he could play behind them as a 10 so he won't have concerns about game time neither will front 3.

Also I see migs or karius leaving. Clyne and Moreno. Lallana Sturridge and shaq so there will be room plus money not spent on there wages could go towards dybala, also money from any sales will help with transfer fee.

Just my opinion nothing contradictory or trying to be in the know.

{Ed002's Note - So you expect Dybala to move to provide cover, or do you expect Liverpool will only be playing two in midfield - which is already overrun?}

I would say, without the obvious glaring issues of where he fits into the team, how it'd affect us tactically, whether he'd move to be a rotation option, etc etc, that his price alone would be enough to rule us out of the running for signing him.

Anyone who wears a number that is not 1 - 11 should not be labelled a 'rotation' player any longer. If we are to challenge on all fronts its a 'squad game'.

Dybala ain't happening, IMO. Nothing to see here.

Im not saying here that we should try and offer someone of his standard a rotation spot but is that not what city and many others do? Have world class players on the bench to interchange?
Seems normal these days to me.

Ed002, I'm sure the OP doesn't want 2 in midfield, that would be crazy. He must be thinking of playing 3 at the back, you know, cos' we have Big Virg there! :)

Dybala is not a KLopp player. Would be a massive waste of money.
Its better we sign a decent fullback and a wide player before looking to luxury signings who won't even get into the starting 11.

Why do people keep talking about ‘starting 11’?

If you have 4 starting quality forwards fighting for 3 roles and simply rotate to keep them fresh, mathematically that means they would each start 3 out of every 4 matches. If you are competing on all fronts like Liverpool are, then the concept of starting 11 and subs bench doesn’t hold much water anymore.

Just look at our midfield, Klopp rotates it all the time because he can, and the players are not too far off each other in terms of quality. In the forwards however there’s a notable drop from our front 3 to our bench so they are rarely given any rest. We can certainly do with another top winger/ striker.

Compare this to City for example who can start with Sterling, Sane and Aguero and still put Jesus, Mahrez and Bernardo on the bench, we are still behind them in terms of depth. I am also pretty sure the latter three don’t think they are ‘benchwarmers’. they presumably see themselves as integral parts of a larger squad which is what you need to be as successful as City are.

@sgred . Totally agree!
