Genuine question and I know it will be easy to say yes after last night but is mane the best winger in the league?

I personally would argue his case. And I definitely have him above hazard. But think sane and sterling at the moment are really doing well. Just curious is he?

I also understand those who have seen too many players show class and then disappear or leave and don't want to get ahead of ourselves.

He (Mane) needs consistency, he shines for few games where he is unstopabable but then disappears for few games . He needs to keep up the high level for most games.

Salah is still the best for me.

Mane and Sterling equal seconds.

Hazard, Sane and Rashford are another step down.

It's very tight between all 6 of them though. Hardly anything in it. They've all played as central strikers except Sane, because they all score so many goals.

On current form I would say he is.

At this moment in time he is producing Messi/ Ronaldo form. Playing out of his skin the lad.

Overall I would say he is better than Sane. Probably neck and neck with Sterling who has been very consistent the past 2 seasons. I wouldn't trade him for either though.

Him and son are the best. Sterling and sane after them. Martial and Zaha after them.
Hazard this season I think is nowhere the best 5 in the league. He has been poor in far too many games.

Hes so much more than a winger though. He might play to the left of Salah or Firmino but he's more like a one-sided forward. On current form he is gold dust and i wouldn't swap him for any other PL player.

Hazard 5th?! That's crazy, he is one of the best Players in the world. That said do is sadio mane.

I feel he felt undershadowed by salah last year and people weren't chanting his name as much as magic mo but this year he is proving he is up there with the best in the world. Salah and mane are both on the same amount of goals but salah getting 3 defenders on him is giving mane the space to excel.

Alverez, look at some of sterling's goals this season. The myth about his lack of shooting ability has been put well to bed.

Wouldn't swap him, sane or hazard for either mane or salah. Mane's 1st last night is one of the goals of the tournament. May end up winning that accolade. (is there an award for best goal of ucl)

Either way, do your ratings or whatever, we have one of the best attacks in the world and because of this I am bloody proud of the club.

Not many teams can match our front three, people have different opinions and all but imo we're better than cities and we're better than psgs.

At this point in time, I think Salah and Mane are the top 2 wingers/ wide forwards in England. Behind that i'd say Sane and Hazard, and then Son and Sterling.

I may be being unintentionally biased, and I see a lot more of Salah and Mane than the others, but that's my opinion.

And Mane is my favourite Liverpool player.

I actually had him 4th mate. Hazard is good but he is too on and off. He has 16 goals this season which sounds good. Then you realise he scored 8 in his first 9 games of the season, and then 8 in the next 29 games.

He's too inconsistent. Even season by season, he is player of the year then completely average and gets his coach sacked. He might never score more than 20 goals in a single season in a top European League, because he simply isn't consistent enough. People say he would at a top club in Spain, but how'd that work out for Coutinho?

Honestly, I think I'm being generous putting him on par with Sane. 10 games into the season I might have had Hazard level with Sterling and Mane, but all he's done as this season has gone on is yet again prove that he blows hot and cold.

I'cant agree with Hazard being that low he's a far superior footballer to Sterling imo, although the consistency comment is a fair and Sterling has been excellent but in a far better team with far better players. In fact i'd take Son over Sane or Sterling, sensational player.

Lol Salah, Both Man City’s and PSG’s front 3 have won trophies whereas Liverpool have won nothing. That’s why I currently would put both of their forwards ahead of Liverpool’s. People only remember teams that win and not the team that apparently has the best front 3 and won nothing🙈.

Also, what has Salah got to do with any of this stuff you posted? You are aware that Football is NOT golf and it takes a team ( and funding from a government in this case) to win trophies. By your pathetic standard, Harry Kane should not be considered as one of the best CF's in Europe cos he has won nothing w/ Spurs.

We are talking about their abilities as footballers and not whether they won something or not. Please, try to keep up.

IMO, pigeon-holing Salah as just a winger does a huge disservice to his all round ability as a footballer. Mane is a brilliant footballer, not just a winger. He is a RW, LW, CF, playmaker, and support striker (he plays there for Senegal), all rolled into one.

Not sure the likes of Sterling, Hazard, and the rest can do all the things Mane can do now. The only thing is for him to improve his consistency and then, he would be REALLY special. I mean, he already was WAY before the good run he is on now.

I don't think hazard has had the right forward to play off for large parts of the season. His heart is set on Madrid and maybe that is why he is not firing as usual. Chelsea should have let him go in the summer.

Redwolf, well if you go back and read what he said, in his opinion Liverpool’s front 3 are better than the forwards at both of those clubs! Considering how much they have won recently I don’t know how anyone can come to that conclusion. At the end of the day winners win and losers lose. At the moment Liverpool’s front 3 have not won anything so how can they be considered the best in their position.
Mane’s consistency has been questioned every season so what makes you think that will change? Maybe you should take those red tinted glasses off rather than accusing me of having a dig at Salah.

Robbiesline I think you need to rewatch sterling goals for this season.

Only 2 scored outside the box and literally all the others were scored from 4-7yards out usually with the goal keeper out of position.

It still requires talent to be in the right place at right time but his lack of shooting isn't a myth. He rarely scores from a distance greater than 7 yards and most commonly scores back post tap ins.

Talking straight up wingers it has to be between mane and sane. Hazard and Salah may be better players, but they’re not out and out wingers for me.
