Who'd you like to face in quarters and who not?
I'd don't want to face Juventus and United

Not really worried about Barcelona as defense is non existent. Neither city over two legs.
Juventus I think we can beat over two legs but with Ronaldo you never know.
United I don't think we will beat them easy with ogs in charge. It's the Derby and those two legs could derail our title charge. Hence I want to avoid them.

Tottenham, Porto and ajax should be easy for us.

Am with you Live. You can't pick and choose but Porto, Ajax, Spurs would be the preferable.

Maybe one way to stop City in the prem is to draw them in the CL.

We shouldn’t be scared of anyone as we can beat anyone over 2 legs. Am I right in saying Klopp has never lost a 2 legged euro game while in change of us?
I would be worried of facing Liverpool if I was any other team left.

I think Barca, City and Juve are probably odds on to win it, I think we probably get beat by any of them. I expect Juve would be the hardest, they would just come sit deep at Anfield, then they have the quality to score from nothing when at home with the game being a bit more open.
Majority of the game last night we weren't great being very sloppy in possession, do that against a team like Barcelona and city and we could be very susceptible to counter.

We are capable of beating of beating ANY TEAM, but in all fairness we gave away so much posession last night I don’t think we can afford to do that if we want to win the C, I think we could be punished. Its an area we need to address.

I honestly think we can beat any of the teams left in the competition over two legs BUT I would prefer to avoid the English teams for the very simple reason that a European tie always loses something when it is between two English teams. The games themselves have more of a PL feel about them and the atmosphere at the grounds is just not the same.

I basically just decide who I don’t want in the final and last season it was Real Madrid because they had Ronaldo.
In the final I don’t want Juve or ManU. Juve because of Ronaldo and Dybala, ManU because it would be a terrible game littered with mistakes which could go against us. So I’d like to knock them out in the SF and QF.

That would be my preference for opponents and I’m choosing them as I believe that’s the weakest to strongest left in the comp. I personally only believe 4 teams can win it us, Juve, Barca and City.

Just replying to my own post above - I had forgotten just for a moment that the second best atmosphere I have experienced at Anfield was the 2005 CL semi-final against Chelsea (and guess what Jose - you were right, it wasn’t over the line! Tee hee) . The best was the 1977 European Cup quarter-final against St Etienne. But I still stand by my point about wanting to avoid the English team’s.

You all already know that City are getting Ajax and Barcelona are getting Porto, or maybe the reverse. we'll end up with Man U because the competition loves the drama which leaves Juve and Spurs.
