Ty ed001 spot on as usual, watching the city game just shows how good we been this season, keeping up with them, proud of them and where we are this season, no matter what happens, we all should be proud of them ynwa.

Spot on Ed001. Gini was a colossus and I will freely admit I thought he was a weak link a few months ago.

Not any more!

My thoughts whilst watching City v Chelsea were "how the f#ck did they lose to Palace, Leicester and Newcastle?
Glad they did though.

Because Palace, Leicester and Newcastle actually tried tackling them once or twice!

Cheers Ed001, great read. Especially needed after the Chelsea result.

Theres been a lot of talk about how to get the best out of Keita, but maybe Keita and Fabinho are the key to getting the best out of Gini. Definitely reactionary on my part, but when you see him have games like that you wonder what he could achieve if he did it consistently. Regardless it was great to see the team play well after some very average performances.

{Ed001's Note - thanks mate.}

Good performance yesterday ed1 glad Firmino played well think when he plays well Liverpool play well. As you say the three in the middle look like they maybe beginning to gel which is ominous for the rest of the premier league
Good report mate and love reading them
Up the pool.

{Ed001's Note - thank you mate.}

Many thanks, Ed. I thought Naby was outstanding in the game. he looked to pace himself at first. playing a lot deeper and getting on the ball more. However as the game wore on, he went up another gear. I mean, that dude's got balls. On Salah's goal, Mane does a beautiful piece of skill to turn Adam smith and releases it to Keita. Kieta could have just did what many thought he would do and release it to Robbo in stride. What does he do? He plays an inch-perfect pass w/ the outside of his foot, hits Bobbie in stride and the rest is history. Now that takes some cojones, man.

I was never worried about Naby cos I know how good he is and he has shown that several times already this season. Hope he keeps it up. As for Wiji, the guy is an animal. I always said he is a brilliant footballer who can play anywhere in our midfield. Glad he's back. Cheers, man.

{Ed001's Note - welcome mate.}

Ed, do you think Klopp will sit Keita against BM? I'm afraid he will play Henderson and Milner in the midfield. I think they slow things down a little too much. Am I wrong?

{Ed001's Note - I don't think it matters which of them plays so long as the movement is there in front of them to play the pass to.}

One of the defining moments of the game, for me, was in the last stages of the game. There was a a counterattack opportunity at breakneck speed with Firmino heading for goal with the ball at his feet. The major surprise was that it was VVD who was right next to him sprinting, keeping pace, step for step, with Salah far behind. Firmino shot right at their GK; one many of chances missed. We know VVD can be a speedster when he wants, but that moment spoke tons about how the team has gotten re-focused and how Klopp must have had some pretty stern words after the last two draws.

Spot on, I like us in a 4-3-3 to be honest Salah looks better coming from the left, Bobby through the center. Do you think we changed our formation in the season because it makes us more solid at the back, or was the plan always to have a variation of 4-3-3 to 4-2-1-3. Either way it's worked out well not to be predictable.

{Ed001's Note - it's just about changing it to suit teams that sit deep against us. The 4-3-3 is at its best when there is space in behind to attack.}
