I don't understand how are season is being considered over, when city literally just lost to newcastle and that was not considered a blip, in the last two games they have gained a point on us!

I think i’ve seen one or two posts suggesting that the season is now over (Walter aside), but no end to the ones that are telling us all to still believe. Not meaning you particularly Waqas, but is this false bravado as actually those people are worried themselves or are they just putting forward an argument against no one in particular?

Long way of saying, only fools panic over what they can’t control.

We have stopped the pressing game since his number two Buvac left. Firmino use to start the PRESS. all season he has been playing in midfield, hence the reason we don't press anymore because Klopp does not know how to coach pressing game. Paisley was the brains shankly the mouthpiece, Buvac was the brains klopp is the mouth piece.

Sorry 007 but that sounds like total nonsense to me. Can you back it up with any coherent analysis please?

Here’s a statistic to stiffen the resolve of the doubters and panic merchants. Of the 26 seasons since the Premier League was formed, the team who has lost the fewest games has won the title on 22 occasions. So far this season, we have lost 1 game, City 4 and Spurs 6. Advantage Liverpool, I think.

Bond James Bond, if Buvac was the brains why are we doing so much better without him🤔🤔.

It’s weird how everyone wants us to play like we did last season, when we finished 4th. Yes we’ve changed our style since last season but it’s got us to top of the league losing only 1 game in the process.
I’m really not sure if some people will ever be happy.

007, Take a day off, man. None of what you posted makes sense nor does any of it have any basis in real facts, truth or reality. me up with this poor excuse for an argument. That is intellectual dishonesty at its finest, man.

"Klopp does not know how to coach the pressing game" (Paisley is the mouth piece" blah, blah, blah. Mentioning Paisley, Shankly or whoever else will STILL not make any of what you said true. I mean, do you even read what you post? BTW, Klopp has been coaching the pressing game since his days at Mainz in the German second division. Frankly, I think you are just here to whinde people up with such baseless and factless stuff.

At least if you're going to make a point, make it using facts and reality instead posting non arguments in a bid to tarnish the good work that Klopp and the boys have done since your boy was sent packing. SHEESH!

We spent £180m so of course we were going to do better. Add that to VVD last Jan and we had to challenge.

007 points don't lie

2017/ 2018 after 25 games we had 50 points, +28 goal difference
2018/ 2019 after 25 games we have 62 points, +41 goal difference

Based on these numbers I would think Klopp without Buvac have done a lot better . It was a shame Buvac left 20 years of friendship, he must have had a good reason to leave. So good luck to him . but he is part of history now.

Sorry WW, don't want to sound negative but 2008/ 2009 season we lost just 2, United lost 4.

@ Redinthewrongway - Way more than a couple of people were writing us off after the West Ham game.

The way I look at it is, we've had two poor performances that we're really unhappy with, and City's gain on us from those two fixtures was one point. Oh no! Whatever shall we do? Season over, clearly.

I think the doom and gloom is partly driven by the elation after Newcastle beat City, because we were expecting to go 7 clear and strike a "psychological blow" in the title race after that. Instead we ended up only 3 points clear. And now of course the optics are even worse because City are ahead on goal difference thanks to playing a game more than us.

Roy, very true but I did post that in 22 out of 26 seasons the team that lost the fewest games won the PL title. I choose to concentrate on the positive side of that fact.

SR to me, it is these fans who lack perspective. Sure we had a chance to strike a blow to City and we did not cos well we simply couldn't with the way the games panned out. What these people forget is that football is NOT an exact science. City had a chance vs Newcastle to gain on us. Not only did they not gain on us, they lost. I did not hear their fans or the pundits saying they bottled it, did you? What this means is that NOTHING is guaranteed in the PL and we of all people should know that.

Therefore, the frustration I can deal with BUT the OTT dom and glooming, spoiled bratism is what I cannot stand. It seemed like these fans who just showed up at Anfield for the LC game and folded like a pack of cards cos we were struggling in the game are the ones who have a over-inflated idea of themselves.

Football is a struggle and there will be ups and downs and you got to NOT dwell on the negatives cos you will NEVER see the positives nor be able to get yourself back on that horse and have a chance to ride to victory, so to speak. If you are not ready to handle the ups and downs of football and supporting your team, worts and all, hell or high water, in the face of immense adversity then it is YOU who lack the bottle, not the players, IMO.
