So I mentioned nerves and pressure could possible get to us when City played first and won. And got shot down.

I'm back at the hotel after the match and after what I saw tonight, along with the home game against Leicester, I feel I have point.

MK Scouser, what's your thoughts now matey?

{Ed033's Note - I don't think Prince Adam will draw his sword and Knight you, if that's what you're after. :)

Well you can’t include the Leicester game because City lost before that game.
I don’t think it’s City’s results that have created this pressure, I think it’s a loss of momentum from 2 defeats on the spin followed by a mini-break in Dubai. We’ve lost our cohesion.

Drogie, I think that you have a point there mate, but we just have to hope that we can win a game or two, and get our confidence back, its plain to me that we have lost something over the last couple of games,
we def need our mojo back .

I don’t know about mk, but imo it wasn’t nerves tonite it was our midfield. Too much space and lack of creativity, personally I would have replaced keita and lallana sooner with camacho and shaqiri but as a whole we didn’t do well tonite. The loss of gini and Hendo really hurt us, but hey on to the next one.

I think you’re right about the midfield but creativity wasn’t the problem. We just emptied the midfield when attacking so got caught on the break too easily. That then caused a bit of caution when going forward because you’re always scared of them breaking which causes you to lose the ball even more. That’s where we miss Hendo his defensive positioning is first class so he stops those breaks before they start.
Going forward I think it’s just a lack of form from Bobby in particular. He is so integral to what we do that when he’s not playing well it all gets a bit disjointed. I lost count of how many times he gave the ball away tonight and it says something when Origi did more in 15 minutes than Bobby did in 75.
He’ll be back against Bournemouth though he’s a class act.

Wolves battered West Ham. They were rubbish. If you want to win the league you had better make sure you are more than three points ahead by the time you play us on the last day of the season.

Drogie you have a valid point as does Ron.

A few weeks back many on here were saying how great it was we had a 10 day break between games.
Clearly a lot of people on here do not have much analytical skills.

We have never come back as good or stronger after more than a 5 day break between games.

Klopp still does not have a plan B - either when plan A is not working or where he does not have his ideal players avilable for selection.

Momentum is lost in between breaks for us and that has come back on us now.

This second gear nonsense people were on about after the first half of the season has also been blown out of the water.

BTW; why pick Lalana?
Did he do anything signidicant?

watching the first half, west ham were so open and there to be destroyed. bottled it is the only way to explain it and defensively we were terrible, a shambles. such a rubbish goal to concede just like leciester. but we did get an offside goal so karma i guess. i've always said keita can't be trusted defensively.

{Ed001's Note - you are such a clueless troll. West Ham were never open. They were quite the opposite.}

I was going to write the exact same post, red kurd. I dread international breaks as we are never the same straight after. I think we would have put up more of a fight if we had Hendo and Gini instead of Llalana and Keita. Naby had a few good dribbles but not much end product whereas the only compliment i could give Llanana is that his ‘form’ has been consistent this season.

Well, when you are down to your 3rd CB choice, a mid playing RB and 2 of our starting mids out I would say the creates a drop in play. Sure, nerves can be a part of it but injuries are just killing the cohesion. Remember when we complained about having that "industrial midfield"? Well, what I would give for an industrial midfield now because the lack control in the middle of the park is hurting g us big-time.

You seems to have a great analytical skills yourself. Couple that with an ability to judge that a certain person doesn't have a Plan B or whatever, and seems to know lots more than others in here, I urge you to apply for the position instead. I'm sure you'll do wonders; maybe win the league after 20 odd games, or whatever!

C'mon Roro West Ham didn’t have Arnautovic, Wilshere, Nasri, Yarmolenko, Sanchez, Balbuena, Reid and Lanzini

I think it's more to do w/ psychology mate, pelegrini is a fantastic manager who's known to play beautiful soccer but today parked the bus knowing very well we will be desperate to win after city results and took full advantage of it.

Think we need to remain calm coz it's a long season and there will be lots of twist and turns but there's no doubt we are feeling the pressure now .

Clubs and opposition know very well we are desperate/ going for the tittle once they could manage to shut the shop, 20-30 mins if we don't score then the pressure will wear us down tho.

No planB? Ildis we just hit cliche corner?
This playing style this whole season has been a planB!

Personally I think the biggest miss was Wijnaludim. For me he is easily the most underrated player in the squad. Yes Hendo, Gomez, Trent and Lovren are missed but we have still won games and played well when they haven’t played this season. Wijnaldum is the common denominator in this.

We were poor, no excuses! But WH were brilliant I thought. Defended well, their midfield of Rice and Noble were superb. They executed their game plan brilliantly.

There were times west ham could have easily been cut open in the first half but the players were never on the same wave length. everytime west ham attacked they made the right choices, we rarely did. Its like our team had never played together which is kinda true. Its the first time keita, fab and lallana all played together. we need our tried and trusted midfeild to play attacking football and also be safe at the back with their defensive duties. This match reminded me of arsenal away with fabinho in midfeild. He just easily gets bypassed when we are countered. Its the same problem man city have. Fernandinho struggles to track back. Maybe pep is now seeing this because he played Fernandinho in defence last match and went for a more mobile midfeild that can chase back when being countered. we really could have lost our last 2 matches and the blame for me would be on klopp for playing attacking football with fabinho who a can't track back, keita who is like a ghost and shaqiri who doesn't know what defence is. The midfield just hasn't existed the past 2 matches.
