Maybe a question for some of us oldies who's the better keeper Alison or grobs? I was watching grobs on YouTube his agility was insane.
For me in this moment in time I'd go for grobs. Hopefully Allison will make me change my mind over the next few seasons.

{Ed025's Note - alisson all day walter...because hes not a lunatic..

have to say to negs but weren't you clamouring for u to sign Butland instead of Alison a few months back!?

Grobs was a lunatic which is what made him insane. Think Allison is better though by quite a distance.

Alison is here a few months he’s should signs of brilliance but also signs of tripe! He’s new to the league so give him time! I’m not really old enough to remember grob.

{Ed025's Note - i must say i have not seen much tripe jay..

Too early to judge. Grobs won 13 major trophies in 13 seasons and many of those we were banned from European games.

Ah 25 he’s done a fair few blunders with the stalling a pass out I might of over exaggerated 😂.

{Ed025's Note - hes made a big difference for me jay, if migs was in goal i believe you would be behind city now mate..

Right now? Grobs, I love Alisson but he's not been here long enough to make such a decision imo. A few years from now, my opinion, I have no doubt will change.

Alisson has shown signs of tripe? Wow. Just wow. (Talk is cheap, it's actually free. So that's why we see an overabundance of the free stuff 😒)

I was lucky enough to have seen Grobs play a lot of games, yes he was a brilliant keeper, but he also had moments of madness, its a bit early to say who is the better Keeper, but I really like what Allison brings to the team, and he is only going to get better .

Grobbelaar came for every ball into the box, no matter how far out, and as s result did make the odd mistake. Incomparison, Neville Southall never moved from his line, not even as far as the 6 yard box, and blamed his defenders when it was inevitably headed in. But hey, he never made many mistakes and is regarded as a legend.

Allison has made 2 mistakes that have led directly to goals (Leicester away and Man Utd) . He has Maddison to thank that it wasn’t three. I love Alisson and he has been great in other aspects but if it was Migs making those errors he would have been absolutely slaughtered.

As for Alisson or Grobbelaar, it’s Grobs for now but Alisson has the potential to be a great if he does it over a longer period. Mind you, the way the crowd groaned when he nearly got caught in possession on Wednesday he will have to be mentally strong to foot.

Grobs also caught everything! Anyway, don't they say you need to be slightly mad to be a keeper?

{Ed025's Note - mad yes...but not a certified lunatic like grobs stu..

Great replys Guys. And to the poster who asked about Butland, yes I really did rate him. unfortunately injuries have caught up with him and he won't reach the potential he could have.

That's right, Walter. Easier to blame it on his injuries than on your having overrated his (lack of) talent and skill. And the beat goes on.

Grobs is a lovely bloke on a personal level, can’t do enough for people 👍.
