Thanks for that Ed. What do you reckon to the Cole and Boateng signings? Both seem quite bizarre to say the very least.

Also was there something happening in the background with Sven Mislintat? Seems strange he's leaving so soon.

As for Boateng, I really do not get that one at all. Just another sign of how poor Barca's recruitment has been of late.

Mislintat was brought in by Gazinidis and he was promised more influence, which vanished with Gazinidis.}

What do you think of the decision to replace Wagner Ed? Thought he had done a good job with minimal resources.
Not sure if I read that correctly but sounds like a bit of a cop out saying that they couldn't risk Wagner being approached by another club?

Hi ed001, did Gerrard make the same mistake by signing Defoe? Seemed a bit of a push considering they have 2 fully fit strikers already.

{Ed001's Note - no because they only had Lafferty and Morelos, and Lafferty is terrible, with Morelos having a poor disciplinary record they needed a striker. It might turn out to be a mistake, but I don't think it was the mate's thing there. They are not particularly close that I am aware of.}
