Not just Liverpool related, but related to the whole of league football in general. I just thought I'd ask here as Ed002 is the most knowledgeable person I know of who could answer it.

It was discussed on Soccer Saturday but no-one knew the answer. When someone gets fined by the FA (e. g. Troy Deeney getting fined £20,000 for criticising a referee - which seems a bit harsh), where does the money go? Does it go to charity? Grass roots football? Or does it just line the pockets of already wealthy people?

Surely the FA should be open about where this money goes.

Thanks in advance Ed002, or anyone else has any information about the subject.

{Ed002's Note - The FA are open about it, it simply goes in to the pot as income. I answered this a couple of weeks ago.}

Thanks for taking the time Ed002. I didn't see the post a couple of weeks ago.

{Ed002's Note - No problem.}

It always makes me uncomfortable when organisations use fines to subsidise income. It’s so open to abuse when it’s in their interests financially to fine someone.

{Ed0333's Note - same principle with councils when they issue tickets for speeding and parking. Hate that.
