Been reading on about the Red Bull Salzburg striker who wants to come to Liverpool. He has a good record this season, but never heard of him before or seen him play.
Ed's and fellow reds, any interest in him from our powers that be? Also anybody seen him play and can share what kind of a player he is and whether he will fit in?

{Ed001's Note - it would help if you gave us a name.}

His name is Munas Dabbur from Israel 🇮🇱.

{Ed001's Note - sorry I know nothing about him.}

No Israeli is coming to Liverpool as long as Salah is here.

If we buy Munas, that means that Salah is on his way out to Real or so.

{Ed025's Note - you are guessing there mate..

Yossi Benayoun was on Chelsea's books (though out on loan), when Salah joined Chelsea in 2014.

JJLT, what is your basis for making that statement please? A tabloid rag? A social media ‘source’?

{Ed001's Note - it is nonsense, the guy clearly knows nothing about Salah and is making an ill-educated guess based on Salah once refusing to shake hands with an Israeli team.}

A certain Mr Brewster won't be too happy if we are signing more squad players for the forward positions.

He has scored 20 goals plus 6 assists in 30 games in all competitions this season, seems a talented player.

Sorry Ed wasn’t sure on the name there. It is indeed Dabbur who has seemingly announced to Salzburg that he is leaving in the next few days.

{Ed001's Note - a hundred players a week talk about how they want to play for Liverpool mate, pointless even starting to discuss things like that or it will never end. I mean Akinfenwa talks about it on a daily basis but it will never happen.}

JLT - ED2 already discounted that as a "thing". Salah might leave but this will not be a reason for it.
As an Israeli myself, can safely say that a likelier reason might be that the vast majority of Israeli footballers are just lazy and no good at football. .

Yeah, all this religious BS has no place in football. 50 years ago a liverpool player would not go on to manage the gers.

Salah is leaving regardless, but I think the poster who implied he'd leave because of signing an Israeli player is correct in principle because the extremely strained relations between Israel and the Muslim world is there for all to see, its not a dislike its a genuine hatred based on facts that are not to be discussed on here. But either way that scenario will not present itself because we are not signing the player anyway and Salah won't be here next season.

Waro, there are a number of contentious assertions in your post but I will leave the political one aside and concentrate on the footballing assertions: ‘Salah is leaving regardless. ’ and ‘Salah won’t be here next season’. They are big statements to make and I am intrigued to hear what evidence or information you have for making them. And one in five who live in Israel are Muslims and some have even represented the National side.}

{Ed002's Note - For the third time I will re-iterate that when Salah joined Chelsea, a Jewish owned club - he gave a assurance that he was over the previous issue and there has been nothing since to say it is still an issue.
