Ed1 if your about. With how modern football is based on speed stamina fitness etc . Could molby have been as influential in this era as he was in his own?

{Ed001's Note - probably not as effective, he would have ended up bypassed, though he would still have been class. You only have to look at Pirlo to see that you can still contribute despite not offering anything defensively.}

Molby was in a class of his own. He could place a ball on 10pense from 40 yards away. He didn't need to be defensive as we had a great back four protecting everyone but he had great football brain and could read the game better than most so didn't need blti be quick. Great reading over the last couple of weeks and cheers ed 2 for the sharkpod.
Enjoy your new year everybody.

He could play in the quarter-back position but that would do him a dis-service.

I think people forget that early on in his LFCcareer he played much further forward and caused a lot of damage in and around an opponents box.

Watch the 2nd and 3rd v Everton in the ‘86 Cup final and if you can track it down (it is on YouTube) his wonderstrike v United at home.
