I'd like to know what people think of the Thorgan Hazard links. I personally don't see the point in spending the money talked about on someone that isn't going to strengthen our starting 11. I just think if Klopp feels he needs cover that badly then he has a recall option on Harry Wilson. I would personally like Wilson to see out the season at Derby. No good bringing him back to have a few minutes here and there. But next season he should be ready to play a few games when we need to rest one of the front three Mané Firmino and Salah. So what would everyone like to see Klopp do?

Completely agree.

I’d bring in delafeou ( spelling? ) in January. I worry if mane Firmino Salah or Shaq get injured. Feel we need a back up there, and at right back.

{Ed025's Note - he could not cut it at everton benny, hes a show pony and not good enough to get in this liverpool side mate..

I’m just thinking who’s obtainable Ed. We aren’t going to bring in Fekir or Pulisic like some wish. I think a good impact player like him would be useful. Robbo an Shaq have surprised many, and playing with better players he could be very useful.

{Ed025's Note - hes a bit greedy for me benny and tends to perform when he feels like it, personally i dont think you need anyone at the moment mate and january is a bad time to buy anyone of quality..

I’d rather bring back Wilson if we suddenly hit an injury crisis. Don’t know if the rules allow us to bring him back, I think his age would allow us to as he wouldn’t need registering. Need clarification though.

For those of you who can remember.
Didn’t Newcastle buy Asprilla in the winter when they were top?

I can’t help think it’s dangerous to break a squad dynamic where everyone knows where they stand when you are top.

Yes strengthen whilst you are strong- but for me this should be done in the Summer window.

I would be worried if VvD or Salah were injured but still think we could cope short term.

I’ve seen posts about buying to put pressure on Bobby- he could get his head down and it could affect Salah and Mane as a result

The squad is good enough to win the League and as a result I’d be happy to see little to no action from us in the Jan transfer window.

I'd like us to look at David brooks. Ed what's your opinion of him? He looks like a clever player to me. Makes good runs with and without the ball. Makes me think of him as a possible Firmino understudy. I'd like to give Brewster and Wilson a chance next season and maybe offload Divock and Solanke. I'll be sad to lose Origi but I just don't see it working for him here.

{Ed001's Note - good player but he needs to play regularly and gain experience not sit on our bench.}

Wilson is a good shout but would be so unfair on him and derby to bring him back. Ed you just described Shaq at stoke mate. We need cover for the front 3, and I’d rather bring delafeou over over Origi and Studge. A game winner on his day.

{Ed025's Note - wilson is not the answer either benny, if you could bring him on just to take free kicks like in american football then yes, but the rest of his game is miles away mate, deulofeu is skillful but he would be more of a nuisance than a help imo..

Think Ed is spot on here, about both Deulofeu and Wilson, and neither of them are good enough at the moment. Wilson may be at some point in future, but not right now, and Deulofeu is worse than Wijinaldum for consistency. He's also a fair weather player and we can't be doing with any of them, you need players to be on it irrespective of how things are going on the pitch. Top quality players dictate the course of games, players like Deulofeu are dictated to by the game - not what we need.

{Ed025's Note - im with you seano..

Deulofeu is pants and has been useless in all the clubs (Everton twice, Milan, Seville, Barcelona twice) he has been and is now at his level at Watford. What would he give us that we don't already have esp. with his wretched attitude as Ed25 alluded to?

Thorgan Hazard (who I have watched a lot in Germany) ain't all that either. Plays in a team where they just seem to go thru the motions and nothing more and so does he. IMO, We stick with what we've got if we can't get anything meaningful done. A transfer that does not help us, is just a pathetic splurge and thank Heavens, Klopp does not do splurges.

Deulofeu?!?! . Really?

I think we've a massive opportunity to push for our first league title in over 20 years, I believe that IF we're going to make a signing in January then it needs to be a creative player.
I cannot understand the shout for Deulofeu - he can't even get in the Watford team these days!

Anyways, my personal preference is Fekir but if klopp doesn't fancy him anymore ( and it looks like that ship has sailed) then I hope the owners see the opportunity we have in front of us and back Klopp IF he feels an addition is needed in January.
As far as I'm aware the owners have backed Klopp up to now and they're a vast improvement to the previous owners

I can understand the Hazard link, his numbers look good but I've only ever seen him play short cameos for Belgium so can't comment

I am a big fan of Wilson but agree with other posters that he should seenout the season with Derby and continue his progression.

I do not feel that we need a signing in january and have faith in the current squad. I think the way Klopp is managing to rotate and keep the majority of the midfield happy is brilliant and Fabinho is becoming a bigger player every time I see him.

I'm getting off track slightly but to sum the above up - I don't think we need a signing in January but if we do then let's back Klopp in the market for this one final push. please not with Deulofeu though.

Change is constant. And things are always evolving, especially in football. Players are just "transient employees", managers come and go, and consistent form is always elusive. So there's always a need to make things better. And the best managers always look at all their options. Klopp may repeat ad infinitum that he is always only concerned with the next game, but i doubt it very much. He's for sure looking at the summer and maybe even for the summer after that also (with the present game being top priority of course) . Nothing wrong with bringing Hazard in and providing competition for Ox, Shaqiri and Wilson. The best of the 4 will only make the team stronger.

If there is any truth whatsoever to the werner rumours in january that would be a quality signing. A lot of pieces would need to be moved on the board for it to happen though which makes it seem highly unlikely. I would assume liverpool are spent after the summer and prob sturridge origi and lallana would have to move to fund the deal. Getting teams to spend on them 3 in january could be a stumbling block.

Werner coming in in january would definately beef our foward line up for the run in.

I think there is a better player in him and klopp could unlock his full potential.

He would provide excellent cover and rotation with our front 3 and i think he would fit right in to our style of play and movement up top.

Pulisic looks nailed on for chelsea if hazard goes. Werner is the next best alternative foe me.
