Thanks for the daily write ups Ed, they are much appreciated. Hoping to see Guillermo Barros Schelotto taking the reigns at Atlanta United!

{Ed001's Note - why Atlanta? That your closest side?}

I've had my eye on the MLS for years but could never choose a team, until Atlanta came along. I chose to follow them from their inaugural season and what a choice it was, MLS champions after just their second season in existence! Tata Martino has stepped down, so hopefully Schelotto takes over.

{Ed001's Note - do you live in the States? I am just wondering how you could pick a team in MLS, I mean it is not exactly a good watch to draw you in is it?}

Nah mate, I live in Melbourne, Australia. I've always had an interest in American sports, even though the way they run it with the conferences and 'trades' are very weird. Plus it's way better than what we have to offer here with the Australian A-League. It's a complete joke, they've just expanded the competition to 12 teams, but they can't even get 10 teams to work. Sigh.

{Ed001's Note - oh ok, I just find MLS football abysmal. It is just so bad to watch, nearly as bad as baseball or American football, which drag on for hours and yet barely have anything happen for most of that time.}

MLS is definitely not the prettiest, but it's just something to keep my eye on. Nothing beats being part of the Liverpool family, Ed. Hope you have a great day mate.

{Ed001's Note - having sat through a lot of it, I would rather keep my eyes closed personally! But each to their own and if you enjoy it good luck to you. Have a great day too.}

Cheers for that ed, skysalah, you should try Irish football for dross football, I’ve had to endure watching bray wanderers down the Carlisle the last few years and oh so many nights have been truly abysmal. You would struggle to find a worse “professional” league in the world.

{Ed001's Note - very welcome Saloe.}

Spot on, Ed. MLS is crap and despite all the money being pumped into it, it's still crap. Lived in the States for 14 years so I know what I'm talking about. Watching two MLS teams play is like watching tow mountain goats head-banging until one of them is concussed (the team that loses) or both are concussed (game ends in a draw) . Dreadful stuff.

{Ed001's Note - it has come a long way from its early days but it is still not very attractive to watch. There is a long way still to go. As for the mountain goats, now that I would watch!}

As an American it must be said that MLS isn't there yet, but it's on its way. It will take a new class of great player to get fans involved, which is something we sorely lack.

{Ed002's Note - Part of the problem has always been the disparity of teams and the inconsistency - although some may say that adds to the sport.}

Ed did u say goats? Love them. I wish I had a bigger house i would have couple of goats living with me.

{Ed001's Note - never thought horses and goats got on so well.}
