Did anyone at the match see how poor the referee was last night? I've never seen such poor officiating in a European game in a long long time. It was quite extraordinary.

I remember last year finals ref was also poor.

Refs for European games are always less willing to let things go and blow for anything. Just got to adapt to the way they ref the game.

Was at Barcelona spurs last night and where I can’t say the red got any decisions wrong anytime a player got near the man with the ball a foul was given. Really made it difficult to watch.

He was too involved. I feel refs like him just blow for attention sometimes. Some of the things he was pulling up was embarrassing.

That ref has been in charge of Liverpool games in Europe 5 times now and we lost the previous four, so last night was at least an improvement on that.

I remember last nights linesman being appalling. Seemed like he flipped heads or tails on a bunch of offside decisions.
