I know he’s not popular on this site and I’m not trying to make an argument for his long-term future at the club, but it was good to see Lallana looking something like his old self yesterday. He pressed, passed the ball well, got back to fill gaps. His energy could be very useful through this tough spell of games.

An on form and fit Lallana has a lot of quality at his feet and we need as many experienced players this season as possible as the pressure wil build towards the end. The likes of Lallana, Milner, Hendo etc will be vital IMO to keep any nerves under control.

i said it a while back and i hope I'm right but i think if he can find form he's a great trump card for us going into a very busy period. loves the way he actually moved the ball on quickly yesterday and made runs for the return pass.

Is this the lallana who runs around like a headless chicken and does oh too too many cruff turns when a simple pass will do
for me if he left in january I would be very very happy, give his space to someone who will actually make a difference when they play.

Lallana did look okay when he came on. The issue with him (for the last 3-4 yrs) is his inability to play one touch football consistently. His Cruyff turns and penchant for stopping the flow to do step-overs and drag-backs does my head in. His lack of pace when in full flow is also a problem when on the counter. To me, he is no longer good enuff for us long term and will prolly leave next season.

Unfortunately he can’t stay fit long enough to get into the side. For me he should move on and make space for someone else.

I hope Lallana doesn’t leave in January, and I don’t think he will.
He can definitely bring something positive to the group and we’ll need a large squad to cater for injuries etc.
The best thing about the last couple of games is we’ve had Lallana looking brighter and fitter, but particularly Fabinho and Keita looking the part at last.
If those latter two click, we’re in business here boys and girls.

When he came on there was gaps. I'm not taking anything away from him but Bmouth are already an attacking side and when they was 2-0 down chasing the game Lallana had the freedom of the pitch.

As long as he does his talking on the pitch and not in the press he will be a good player to have in and around the squad and on the pitch when called upon.

Lallana is a god option when he is in form, he is fit and keep the play simple. but for me he is not fit atleast 50% of the games and player like him who are such a high salary and not available for half a season is not good enough for me. Its the same question I asked a few days back about Sturridge (high salary and not fit enough/ good enough for the whole season) Players like Lallana should be replaced by youngster like Curtis Jones where as Sturridege by Rian Brewster atleast after giving these kids a chance we will know if they are good enough for the squad or not.
just my opinion.

Ha ha, I knew it. I knew people would be praising Lallana at some point this season. He has always been a classy player. 18 months of injury doesn't change that.

No doubt Lallana had a good game yesterday. But these good games are few and far between the injuries and the poor form. I think it's too risky keeping him on. Need a squad of 25 where every single player can make a solid contribution every time he is called upon. This is ManC's strength or any champion's, for that matter. We have to think in the same way.

I did point out in my original post that I didn’t want to raise his long term future with the club.

I don’t see any point in discarding of him in January unless we have an idea of who can step in to fill the space in the squad till the Ox is fit. We need one of them to allow Klopp to rotate the midfield and front 3 effectively throughout the rest of the season if we are going to sustain a title challenge and have a run in either/ both the champions league and FA cup.
