The record isn't that different when you see it like that. Think the Klopp reputation is able to bring in better players though which will benefit us in the long run. and he talks much less bull, although I'm sure Ed02 won't agree with that 😁.

{Ed001's Note - the point is though that Klopp's record is getting better, while Brendan's was getting worse.}

Clyne is not a loss at all.

Think having our midfielders back including Keita and Fab along with Hendo Millie and Gini will see us through

Also have a feeling that Bobby is going to be coming back into form.

Mo will be on the score sheet as well.

Hate these stats. Actually played cup finals under klopp, and only ran city close under Brendan.
Not to mention the change over period of what Brendan left klopp with, perhaps the worst squad we’ve had in PL history.
001 makes a fantastic point, Klopps is improving, Brendan’s crumbled. The game against Madrid where he rested players will always make me despise the man.
And the very very bottom line, luis Suarez. With Bobby’s form how it is, I’m saying very confidently, with the rest of the squad, if we had Suarez up front right now, we would be 4 points ahead of City, the man turned draws into wins and losses into draws. He almost won us a league single handedly.

There's a big difference in the "intangible" areas that each manager brought to the club. Klopp has brought a passion, unity and self belief that was not there under Rodgers. I always got the sense that Rodgers put himself before the team, whereas it's clearly not the same case with Klopp. Those were the Suarez years, not the Rodgers years. We are definitely living in the Klopp years. 😉.

Ed, how do you rate Brendan as a manager overall? I recall you mentioning some years back that, whilst he was still in charge of Liverpool, that he was a good coach in the sense that he could improve players, but perhaps not such a good manager.
Has anything in the meantime changed for you?

{Ed001's Note - no, I still don't rate him as a manager. His style of football is terrible and shows a real lack of understanding of the game. It is all about passing for passing's sake.}

Once again, the stats don't tell the whole story. The stats don't tell you that BR bottled the PL and could not be arsed to fix our defence cos well, he himself said in a post match interview (one of his disgraceful pressers) that, "It's not something I am interested in". The stats also don't say how BR was able to make us a weaker team and squad after that title-bottling the season, peeing in the wind with his feckless transfer policy or lack thereof. Did the stats also mention that Klopp achieved two Cup finals in his first 8 months with BR's players, the same ones he threw under the bus when it was convenient for him?

ArAy and Ed01 are correct. BR was always incompetent and his 6 months of "glory" does not remove from from the dreaful two and a half yearrs we had under him nor the fact that he was all about himself and never took responsibility for the terrible things that happened under his watch. He only wanted the credit for whatever went right. On a coaching ability level, there is, never have been and by all current accounts, never be a comparison between the two. Klopp is the manager BR wishes he was even if he wind 1000 trophies in that pub league he manages at, he will always be inferior to Klopp.

{Ed025's Note -" klopp and brover sitting in a tree K.I.S.S.I.N.G.. :)

I’m still mad at Rogers. That one season we came second, if we weren’t winning we had aspas or Moses to bring on. In January if we had one attacking player to change a game then we would have won the league. I’m sure we started Suarez sterling Sturridge Coutinho Gerrard hendo 90% of the games that year.
Genuinely believe one rotation player would have won us the league.
