Ok ED01 Alisson proved his worth again. In other news sky is blue.

Even though salah, studge and shaqiri delivered for the 3rd, it was alisson who is the awesome reason again. jeez when he does something im like a kid in candy store! Im sure u r d same ed01!

YNWA.

{Ed001's Note - I am just so glad he is keeping us in games, though I have to wonder how their goal was allowed to stand? Alisson should be celebrating another clean sheet today.}

Exactly ed how is the first goal allowed. it was an all out melee. How many fouls in those 10 seconds were there?
Also what's with us missing these guilt edge chances. Scored 3 so nothing to complain about but the game should have been done with much sooner.

{Ed001's Note - every team misses gilt-edged chances mate. It happens.}

The Grobbelaar thread below was most apt, as the build-up to the final Liverpool goal was like an old Brucie bonus - acrobatic save, juggle along the line under pressure to keep the ball in play, then a quick throw out to start the counter. All in the final minute!
Love it!

Alisson must have seen it!

And he will get even better! can anyone believe that! Whos laughing now Madrid!
By the way We need a song for alisson. i tnk he has saved us 5 points this season already.

{Ed025's Note - how about.."becker is our pearl..even though hes got the first name of a girl"...just my first draft..

Pls don't PICK on us ed025😂.

{Ed025's Note - just trying to be helpful mate.. :) but i do like your wit liverbird..

06 Dec 2018 05:46:34
Ed, what did you make of the referee’s performance last night?

{Ed001's Note - he was terrible. Very weak. He always is though.}

7.) 06 Dec 2018
06 Dec 2018 06:03:42
Keita missed a sitter too but was excellent despite that. Have you changed your opinion on Virgil Ed? He's a colossus.

{Ed001's Note - you mean when he was switching off to lose possession and needed to use his physicality to retrieve it? He is exactly what I said he is. The perfect physical and technical defender prone to lapses or concentration.}

8.) 06 Dec 2018
06 Dec 2018 06:16:20
Agreed, he got robbed of a clean sheet, how that goal was rewarded is beyond me.

Ed, what did you think of Keita last night mate?, to me it was his best performance with Liverpool so far. Must starter now after that performance?

{Ed001's Note - he was the brightest spark in the midfield for me. A really promising display.}

Ed01 just wondering. whether we will be able to beat Cech's 24 clean sheet record. oh man had Leicester error and yesterday's blind ref not cost us we would have 4 left🤔not 6.well as someone said. attack wins u games and defence wins u titles let's enjoy the ride! ed01 i wanted to ask u about how Courtois is doing at madrid. your opinion on his performance. if u r free ofcrs keep up the hard work guys

YnWa.

{Ed001's Note - I have no idea what the record is but I am sure Alisson can beat it if there is only 6 more to go.

Courtois is having a mixed time, he was terrible before Solari took over, since then he has had some good games.}

10.) 06 Dec 2018
06 Dec 2018 08:35:15
The premier league record for clean sheet is 24 ed by cech wid chelsea i tnk 2004/ 05 not sure of tue year he has kept that. well alisson needs 15 more in the remaining 23.that is a challenge.

{Ed001's Note - but not unthinkable.}

11.) 06 Dec 2018
06 Dec 2018 08:39:22
Didnt we use 4-4-2 diamond in begining? it wasn't working at all. and i tnk Milner is a must keep next season. he covers lb decently. well atlst better than moreno does. nd ed01 i dunno who was doing the commentary yesterday in my country but i felt lik thrashing the TV hearing them. who according to u all is d best commentator in epl? i tnk andy tonwsend?

{Ed001's Note - did you have Ian Dowie as well? Lovely fella like, but utterly moronic and he considered Bardsley's over the top of the ball as a good tackle because he was a thug himself on the pitch. He also does not know the rules have changed since his days to stop strikers kicking the ball out of keeper's hands to protect them from being booted in the head.}

12.) 06 Dec 2018
06 Dec 2018 08:39:26
I think your maths have gone a bit awry there Livebird.

Cech holds the record of 24 clean sheets, and Alisson's got 9 so far, so there's 15 to match and 16 to beat. Still doable if we continue like this as he's got 23 games left.

9/ 15 = 60% x 38 = 23 so if he continues on his current ratio he'll end up 1 short.

Ed01, The referee last night, Stuart Atwell, is almost as bad as that useless, fat oaf Jon Moss and that arrogant, posing idiot Kevin Friend. In general, the so-called select group of Premier League referees are worse now than at any time I can remember. The only ones who I think are any good are Michael Oliver, Martin Atkinson, Andre Mariner and Chris Kavanagh (who reffed the derby game on Sunday) . The rest are totally incompetent - or is it more sinister than incompetence? I really do have my doubts.

{Ed001's Note - I am not sure I think any are 'any good', though Kavanagh did ref well at the weekend, so could be good.}

Exactly what I was thinking about Dowie as well last night. It was co commentary from the 80’s. I just wish some of these guys had some insight. Afterwards, on MOTD, you get Martin Keown who is too busy trying to be clever thinking up metaphors to find anything useful to say (and talks utter nonsense tactically when he does have a go at the nitty gritty) and next to him you have Danny Murphy who has played with or played for everyone so can’t say anything critical about them.

I quite like Lee Dixon on co comms, purely to listen to. Gary Neville at least gives some decent analysis and the ever omnipresent Alex Scott is quite good too actually.

{Ed001's Note - the commentators themselves are crap as well. They are far more interested in having a chit-chat than they are in doing their job.}

15.) 06 Dec 2018
06 Dec 2018 11:38:51
When we scored the goal they were oh Liverpool scored. when they scored right that guy was wow what a goal no hint of offside. it slips through alissons hand. and they were actually praising Burnleya tackles. old grandpas. i would rather get a dog barking for commentry than thay guy again.

16.) 06 Dec 2018
06 Dec 2018 11:40:25
Did that dowie guy tell tarkowski is brilliant but some people are not convinced or something like that ed? then that's the guy.

{Ed001's Note - yes mate. He was trying to claim Tarkowski was a great passer of the ball, which means, in Dowie's terms, he can kick it very far to a big lump up front. Dowie is a dinosaur.}

17.) 06 Dec 2018
06 Dec 2018 12:22:29
Well it is an entertainment industry. Why let facts get in the way of a good yarn?

And I agree but it’s not just Burnley or just against us either. Plucky underdog bumbles its way to a goal and its really great for them - just the bullying type of goal that they should only be able to score against us. We score a cracking counter attack goal and it’s just what we do. Sturridge getting the credit while he had the easiest part of the whole move, simply because he lifted the pass instead of playing it down the channel.

If the layman viewers can see things, why is it that ex professionals and people who work in the game can’t? It’s like a carpenter making tables their whole life and not knowing which type of wood they’re using.

18.) 06 Dec 2018
06 Dec 2018 17:14:44
I think I had Ian Dowie Ed01. His commentary was shocking! He even went on the explain how legit Burnley’s goal was as the replay was going on.

Oh and how many times did he need to say the wrong name? I can’t see any semblance between our midfield 3 but he couldn’t even get their names right.

{Ed001's Note - it is embarrassing at times.}
