Hello Reds, question for Ed001, what do you think about Keita and Shaqiri in the same midfield? Do they compliment each other or will they get in each other's way? Also if they do compliment, do we loose something defensively by playing the two at once?

{Ed001's Note - you could probably get them to work together, but your last question is the big one. There is no doubt they would leave the midfield open, unless you completely altered the system used. I think it would be an either or really.}

We should go back to original front 3 bobby up top doing his thing knitting things together and rotate shaq or Keita behind 2 more defence minded midfielders e. g Milner Henderson fabihno can't help feeling gini has become a bit lost in his role he should b more attack minded for me.

Hailstones, I think Klopp has tried that and it was not working so he is trying something diff. with Bobbie deeper behind the striker which is now Salah for the most part. I think he is playing him there to drag the oppos' defence and DM's around to create space for Salah and Mane to run into. Also, Klopp may also be doing that until Keita can play that role (the box to box) role which is his best position. The hope is that with time, things will get back to normal but for now, it is what it is. Just my opinion.

I was in favour of bobby dropping into midfield originally as he is a grafter and has the skill too get forward, but I feel we ain't getting best out of him and as a result his confidence looks shot, I want too see him doing karate kicks and grinning like a Cheshire cat that's our bobby .

When we aigned Keita, I thought great, we have the perfect box to box CM that can do everything and is perfect for klopp system. Technical, presses, link attack, defends, great engine etc.

My thoughts were that you could have hendo/ fabinho play #6 and then you can rotate keita/ gini/ lallana/ milner/ shaw in the box to box midfield role to do the engine work that allows our front 3 to wreak havoc.

We've ended up with some kind of hybrid system that has firmino playing deeper and deeper and our midfields looking confused. I don't like and hope we go back to what were trying to do but put the key pieces in place.
