Question this season how much do people think we miss Can? And the ox

Both played a he'll of a lot of games last season.

Ox yes, he was really starting to get going before he got injured.

Think back to last seasons group stage of the champions league can was playing a stormer.

Personally I don't think we miss either but having the Ox as an option would certainly be helpful.

Don't think we miss Can. I think we do miss Ox's drive and pace in Midfield as well as his ability to cover out wide etc. Look forward to seeing him back at his best next season!

We're definitely missing Ox's ability to run with the ball and drive at the defense before unleashing a screamer or sliding it in to the Front 3.

Here's to hoping Keita can finally get a run of games and tear it up just like he did for RBL.

I think can was a little too hit and miss, could be brilliant one day and invisible the next. Such a shame. As for ox, when he comes back in I think it’ll certainly improve us the way Shaqiri has added to us. Klopp looked like getting the absolute best of him and I’m amazed that he did more for us in a few months than his entire career in arsenal. Until then, I still think we’ve got enough in the cracking players we already have.

Can is not being missed at all. But I think Ox is being missed greatly. I think he is a better fit than Shaqiri simply because he has a defensive dimension to his game that Shaqiri does not have as of yet. Ox is better suited to reacting to different situations and different oposing team setups. Ox does not have Shaqiri's left peg which can be magical at times, and would probably score less goals than Shaqiri over a season, but I stil think our midfield is more solid with Ox in there.

I have to say that wiji and Milner this season have been better than Can last season, so i don't think we've missed him. We're doing pretty well without Ox, but will be nice to have him back.

IMO, Can? Not so much. Ox? Without question. Can was as someone already said, a bit hit and miss even tho, he was very good for us overall and we would not have made the progress we made w/ o him in certain games. But he did not have the same impact Ox made. Ox was an animal for us last season, simple.

Klopp (and he barely gets credit for this) played a blinder with the Ox/ Cou situation. Cou wanted to go, hell/ heaven be damned. What did Klopp do? He let Cou go (for serious dough) and got Ox ready to play the no. 10 role in a different way and switched the way we play to accommodate his abilities (pace, power, athleticism and fearlessness) . We never missed a beat with Ox in the advanced position after Cou left and we are suffering from his absence more than anything, IMO. And he scored and assisted quite a lot. Also, if we thumped City 3 out of 4 times last season, it was in huge part cos of Ox. They never had an answer for him and had he been there this season, they and many other teams would not have an answer for him either. Ox, all the way for me.

{Ed002's Note - Klopp does not negotiate transfers.}

Once Keita and Fabinho are up to speed, these discussions will disappear.

Ed02, I am fully aware of that. I was making a larger point.

{Ed002's Note - Don’t make it all about Klopp then.}

We lack a little creativity in midfield currently and yes I know Shaqiri has helped a bit but I think we lack variety in our current midfield personnel.

Any team will miss a good player. We might well do ok without Ox but you would still want to see him ready for selection.

Can made his choice, it might turn out well for him, maybe not! His choice, good luck to him but I'm not really interested, he is gone.

Deffo 100% miss ox no one else in that current midfield has his drive eye for a pass or ability to shoot from long range
Keita I know can do all these things but has not been on fire as of yet and the other midfielders offer many things but goals is not one of them.

Ed02, not making anything all about Klopp at all. Klopp signed Ox, coached him up and got him ready to play. Ox also gets credit for believing in his ability and improving his game on his end at al. That is credit to Ox and Klopp. Cheers, man.

{Ed002's Note - You are as ever making everything about Klopp - it is si,ply incorrect and untrue.}
