Always a great read, Ed. I mentioned earlier a couple of days ago that Hendo and/ or Keita were huge misses in midfield and it showed, as you eloquently described. We all know what happened and where we need to improve so no point beating a dead horse. On to Red Star where hopefully, we can get a win and one foot in the CL KO stages. YNWA!

{Ed001's Note - cheers mate.}

Excellent review Ed, thanks for that. Couldn’t agree more that we need a Kante type player and not a Couthino. Keita will probably be that player for us as you mention. Milner does look tired after injury so hopefully the pain in the arse international BS break will help him get fitter for the Xmas run in. Don’t get me started on the Matip sub situation! I mean wtf! I don’t get it.

{Ed001's Note - I had forgotten there was an international break. Good timing for once.}

Nice one Ed001 always a good read, interested to know why you think Bobby is tired and not looking quite as sharp so far this season . is it the WC effect? Would you consider giving him a rest if and when possible?

{Ed001's Note - I don't know, he does tend to start seasons like this, he was sluggish last season, but he was clearly carrying a few too many pounds then, so it was easy to see why. He probably does need a break, but it may be that he just needs to play his way back to form.}

Once again Ed001 thanks for the match review mate and as we’ve said before Robinson makes ya want to pull ya hair out with he’s runs and then getting caught in possession.

{Ed001's Note - it is not normally allowed to criticise him though, as he has become a cult hero for making those runs.}

Awkward one about bobby, he's my favourite Liverpool player but I'd rest him for a game or two and then let him resume, he'll soon get back to his best, I'm certainly not worried but for the next couple of games I'd stick Sturridge on.

I agree on Bobbie, Ed and Salah. At the weekend, he was having issues sprinting with the ball at his feet that the perennially sluggish Xhaka caught up with him one time. He also had problems sorting out his feet when he had the ball. Clearly, Bobbie was not at his best at all so either he needs a rest or he needs to play his way back out of his momentary slump. That is up to Klopp. However let us remember with Bobbie, "Form is temporary. Class is permanent".

Agree with all you say as usual Ed and really look forward to your reviews. Why do you think the penalties were not given as they were both clear for either side. Cech did a similar thing against Blackpool midweek on Spearing after Spearing beat him to the ball in a tackle. Why are keepers just let off with what appears clear penalties and dangerous challenges at that.

{Ed001's Note - I think refs are just afraid to give them. It is a big call and they bottle it.}

I thought Robinson was one of our better performers and there weren't many to choose from. I'm hoping that we keep grinding out results (preferably wins) but I am finding our performances very concerning and have a horrible feeling there's a couple of back to back defeats around the corner if we continue to play this way. Hope and pray that isn't the case and we keep chipping away at City and are in a position to capitalise on any slip ups.

Really enjoyed that Ed, the Matip thing infuriates me too 🤬.
