Damn, how long into the season can we go without actually playing well!
So sloppy with the ball, making a team with 3 points look good!
Hudders probably deserve to be equal.

I honestly don’t give a toss as long as we keep winning. Our free flowing football will come. It’s most important to keep pace with city until we click into gear.

They're making us uncomfortable with their pressing, plus we've got a few players out there who haven't played much this season yet. Not only that, Huddersfield are actually an OK team, they've had a rough start to the league, playing pretty much all the bigger teams with in the first 8 games (Chelsea, City, Tottenham and Liverpool) .

Very poor first half so disjointed looks like these players don't know each other would be lost without Henderson.

Still It is better to win the league like this.

There is so much space were 3 on 3 upfront every time but we're doing nothing with the ball. If we come out second half with a bit more venom we'll get a couple more.
But if we Keep slowing it down then they'll bag one, it's coming! Even Allison is taking ages to pass it's very slow.

I hate to say this but lallana really shouldn’t be playing in that team he holds the ball up every time we look to counter and For Henderson common he wouldn’t even be on the City bench God I miss the ox.

Are we pacing ourselves this season.

I think since we've upgraded our defence, we tend to play at the back far more often than we should, inviting the opposition to press us.

Anyone that doesn't care about how bad we are playing as long as we get the 3 points are really short sighted. When the 3 points stop coming then you going to ask questions which is too late. 9 games in and we are getting worse while the teams around us are getting better. We really are lucky to be joint top.

End of the day we're getting the results needed, we should be proud of the team. No matter how we're playing, we're winning the majority so we should praise them. Imagine when the lads start to play how we know they're capable of? we'll be laughing so let's just sit back and enjoy the ride. We're winning the league, I said it 3 weeks before the season started and will continue to say it, City will have some bad luck and we'll smash it.

P.S. Ed1, if I were you I wouldn't be writing a match review, how anybody could sit and rewatch that is beyond me lol! hope you've had a good day mate!

3 points lads, stop the moaning. We will play better, especially when the International breaks are over but in the meantime they're grinding out results. Nobody will be complaining come May if were still at the top.

we played similar under rodgers under the 13/14 season then after Christmas turned the style on.

87red, if someone guaranteed we'd win the league playing like that then none of us would give a toss, but nobody can guarantee that so you then have to base your judgement in reality, and in reality title winning teams don't play in such a listless disjointed way, going forward we are not even doing the basics and it's very very concerning that we don't seem to be able to play (at times) simply 5-10 yard passes. Continue this way and we will come unstuck sooner rather than later.

I guess people missed the part in my post where I clearly stated AS LONG AS WE KEEP WINNING?

I’m not glossing over anything, we’re not playing well but we are joint top and have already played spurs and Chelsea away and played city.

The performances will come so we just need to grind out the wins until they do. I lost count the amount of times fergies Utd used to win games and you’d scratch your head wondering how on earth they won.

People need to have a word with themselves. Moaning, heaven bid if any of supported a team like Newcastle etc, they are a fan base who have reason to feel negative. For us it’s “we’re joint top, undefeated, conceded 3 goals in 9 games, oh poor us”.

The terriers played really well, there I said it.
no team has a god given right to win based on league position, 3 of our forward 6 changed for the match and we had several good chances to put the game to bed, we will play better.

If the terriers play like that against the other top teams they will get a result or two.

I notice how Klopp brought up the same issue's with Huddersfield fixtures so far like I did earlier.

Great minds think alike and all that trumpet blowing stuff.

Waro your right in saying a team playing like we did today won't win a league over 38 games, but your basing how good this team is by the disappointing performances against Napoli and today, and maybe Chelsea at Anfield too. Its only a few games ago people were delighted with the performance against Spurs and Chelsea away.

that's not taking into account the rest of the super football these same players have played over the past 3 years, they have not become bad players overnight. what's more likely, that we rediscover our usual level of performance or we continue to play as bad as today?

Spot on, Idontlooklikeklopp, If you did not think we were going to struggle from the outset with the changed lineup then I question your ability to analyse football on a critical level. We were slow off the blocks due to the changes due to injuries (esp. after the int'l break) and with players like Lallana not being able to offer the same, zip, pace and quick movement that a Mane can offer, which is the fulcrum of our play up top. We did struggle and we DID get the goal so Klopp just shut up shop, allowing Hudd to come to us and hit them on the counter.

It would have worked had we not been so poor in the final third decision-making phase. We have to improve on that for sure, BUT as long as we got the 3 points on a day Utd and Chelsea dropped points, that's all I care about right now until better days come for us in attack.
