Well lads it was a bit disappointing we went our of the league cup the way we did especially against Chelsea but let's remember that we played a reserve back 5 and gave a full first debut to Fabinho who is still finding his feet like Keita in midfield.
On one hand, we lose the opportunity to win a trophy but on the other hand, Klopp and Co can now concentrate on the league and UCL for the next 3 months and then give the FA Cup a real good go.
The most important thing that we learned today is that we have reliable backups to our front 3 that can hold their own against one of the better defences in the league and could have won us the game with better finishing. As much as I would have loved us to beat Chelsea, I would rather we beat them in the league. The UCL and EPL are our priorities and that is the reason why I am not particularly disappointed at getting knocked out.

We should always be disappointed to get knocked out of a cup. Also, you can't say we fielded a weakened defense and then say theirs was one of the better ones in the league. Theirs was 3/ 4 reserves also.

Our teams were balanced, both had sub keepers, rested key players, new defences this season.

I think we went out to an astonishing goal from an astonishing player. (Roll on the Barcelona and Real links for Hazard) . Other than that the two teams were fairly even with both enjoying periods of dominance. Like other fans I'd of liked to have won but I'm not sure it'll be a negative thing at the end of the season that we went out early in the Carabao Cup.

I am just as pissed that we lost cos I want my team to win EVERY game and as a former athlete and amateur footballer, I despise losing. As per the game itself, I thought we played very well as a makeshift team and we were clearly the better team after we cleaned out our cobwebs in the first half. In fact, we created more chances than they did. Created much clearer chances than they did and Studge would have had a hat trick had he had his head screwed on right. We did not "decide the game" (Klopp's new phrase) when we were in control and that leaves you at the mercy of a Hazard stunner or an offside goal not being chalked off by the forever-incompetent Kevin Friend. We need to reconcile with this reality and learn from them cos if we let Hazard do his thing on Sat then, we will come undone again. Up Da Pool!

Van dijk and robbo will take care of hazard believe. I think Becker would have saved both goals as well. He would have parried the first one behind the post and saved eden's shot.

Chelsea did also field a weaker team. The worst thing about the whole thing was Ross barkley winning at a field.

{Ed025's Note - thats very bitter of you MM, we have moved on from ross and i suggest you do the same mate..
