Hey guys, long time lurker first time poster from Singapore :) Huge huge fan of the site - I only have time to visit it only 5-8 times a day though :) great work to all the Eds!

If you don't mind me asking, I'm thinking of inviting a Liverpool legend to my home in Singapore for a private dinner with some of my clients and close friends. Who would you choose? Criteria must be that 1) he's must have great love for Liverpool even today 2) he can speak in an English accent that we can catch quickly 3) not someone divisive among fans 4) has great knowledge of the club for a long Q&A session!

Humbly awaiting your input please :)

YNWA,

Dominic.

{Ed001's Note - cheers for the compliment. Steve Heighway or Brian Hall would be my suggestion as they are intelligent. Most footballers are not going to give you an intelligent or easily understood conversation.}

I loved watching Heighway, fantastic player. And long long term Liverpool servant with a brain. He’d be pretty good.

I'd love to invite Robbie fowler and Gary neville. We could spike Gary with lsd and ketimin and get him to admit he has sexual dreams about Peter shmicheal.

Then we could put Gary on a leash and walk him round the garden and feed him a tin of pedigree chum.

That's what I love about football. The mutual respect and friendly rivalry.

Roy Evans perhaps? A long, rich history with the club working alongside most of the greats.

Morning Dominic,

I’ve sat and eaten with a number of players on a couple of occasions. There are some to which I maybe wouldn’t go for, Phil Neal for instance always wants to talk about himself.

The most articulate in his speech would have to be John Barnes and he’s a really nice fella. Also Ian Rush and Jimmy Case I found to be really interesting to talk to. I sat next to Jamie Carragher at LFC’s end of season’s awards and he was also very happy to engage in conversation etc, though not sure how many would understand his speech lol.

I would contact the club as they have evenings, held at the Hilton Hotel in Liverpool where by you can sit and have dinner with ex players as part of a match day package. Stay away from Phil Neal though!

Hope this helps
Cheers
Drogie.

Agree with mr Istanbul, its has to be Owen. He is totally non divisive and wants to unite both Liverpool and Man U fans. Great English and great knowledge of club ambassador.

{Ed001's Note - he is also boring, up his own arse and is very divisive as most LFC fans hate him for signing for United.}

I think super sub David fairclough does the evenings ( really nice fella! ) and also Alan Kennedy, if you want to add some humour to the night, he’d be the one, also a good bloke to speak with!
