Its a grt performance. But that Silva, what a player he is. He is rock solid. If two players we need to sign, then its Mbappe and T. Silva. what do you think Ed001 about his performance?

{Ed001's Note - Silva rock solid? I wouldn't go that far, he couldn't organise their defence last night. Not that good a defender, decent ball player but I don't see him as any more than a replacement for Matip. He is positionally poor, he was badly caught out on the first goal. He was dragged all over the place last night. Not for me.}

Would have to agree with Ed 001 he was pisitionally average last night, although agree on Mbappe, the boy is a worldy player!
I thought Bernat was their best player, a little dynamo on the left side of defence/ midfield, he caused us some problems.

{Ed001's Note - Bernat? He was woeful, the boy cannot defend at all and he is meant to be a defender. He was the weakest link in their whole team.}

Hi Ed,

Outside of the front 3 and Verratti, are there any players from PSG you rate highly?

Thanks.

{Ed001's Note - Areola - bit of a tit (I know it's an old gag but I can't help it) but a good shotstopper.
Meunier - can be caught out defensively at times but very good touch on the ball and a good footballer.
Rabiot is an excellent player, though he was overrun last night because he was partnered with Marquinhos, who basically left him to it.
Weah looks like he is going to be a special talent like his dad was.}

Maybe you could see it a little more clearly from your armchair Ed 001 but from the Kop, he looked to have a bit about him.

{Ed001's Note - if you are going to be a dick about not having the same opinion you can go jump. I have stood on the Kop many times and got far too caught up in watching the game to see what players did. But you obviously think you know better because you were lucky enough to be there. Maybe you should have got the job offers to scout for Prem clubs that I got instead, because you clearly know better than I do. Snide little comments like yours are just not needed.}

Have to say ed01 Rabiot did impress me. I could see him fitting in nicely at LFC, do you? What is apparent is that Tuchel is woefully overrated and did nothing to counter our threats. No idea why he is so highly rated.

{Ed001's Note - I think Rabiot would be an excellent fit in our midfield, if he could get in it. The form Millie is in, there is no way he is getting dropped any time soon.

As for Tuchel, he took Dortmund backwards and was a poor choice for PSG.}

Thanks Ed01 i agree, he needs to get rid of his mum as his agent though! Has Milner surprised you? i have to say he has for me. He was excellent last night and has been all season. Leading by example i would say.

{Ed001's Note - Milner has been an absolute revelation this season. Player of the season so far for me.}

Rabiot is a Liverpool fan too.

"I would love to play in the Premier League, not necessarily one club in particular, even though I was very fond of Liverpool when I was young, "

I also believe Rabiot was their best player last night Ed001 mate. He cut out a handful of our attacks at vital moments and seemed more composed than most of their players. The "big miss" for them was Verratti as he provides a good link between the back and the lazy sod upfront. Where I differ from you Ed001 mate is the choice of Tuchel as manager for PSG. I think he's a good "fit" for the owners given that the higher profile managers would not put up with the antics of some of the players and their attitudes both on and off the field. The owners have mistakenly copied the Real Madrid model and will absolutely regret it eventually when they are stuck with ego-driven players who they cannot get rid of. Of all their players I would only take Rabiot and Mbappe.

{Ed002's Note - Thomas Tuchel was way down the list for PSG and he knows it. It never makes for a long-term relationship.}

I was in the main stand and thought Bernat was really poor, bloke behind me clearly thought so too as he kept screaming the team to press him because he'll give the ball away!

I thought that was why most of our attacks went down that side, because Neymar is lazy and Bernat is an accident waiting to happen.

PSG demonstrate it every season - good players. Bad team.

Rabiot would be an excellent addition. In a yer's time and on a free is it? I rekon ya take that. Good to keep fresh legs coming in as forward planning for milner, lallana and hendo as they get on.

{Ed002's Note - You might want to try searching.}

Agreed about Milner Ed001, he's playing incredibly at the moment as is Gini. Making a mockery of anyone who said either should be let go in the summer. I think Rabiot next summer on a free would be an awesome signing. He's only 23 and would be the perfect eventual replacement for James Energizer Bunny Milner in about 7 years when he finally starts to slow down for a second. ;)
I actually felt sorry for Rabiot and as soon as I saw PSG's team sheet had a good feeling we would dominate midfield. Very poor tactically from Tuchel who clearly didn't learn from his last Anfield experience. And no, I don't really rate Tuchel, the new JK my arse. He's a very very poor impersonation and if Napoli manage to get out of this group with us I can see him being sacked by Christmas. Also, I just saw Cavani's comments saying he doesn't think it reflects on the quality of Ligue 1. Okay 5 wins in a row but so what? Caen, Guingamp, Angers, Nimes and Saint-Étienne, I mean come on. They don't even play a good side until gameweek 9. Cavani actually said "I'd like to see some English teams play in the French league and see how good they are. " Well mate, if this Liverpool team went and played in Ligue 1 we'd break all records and be champions by springtime.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool would have let Georginio Wijnaldum go in the summer but priced him out of a move to the one interested side.}

Rabiot without a doubt! Technically excellent. Proper holding mid! No wonder the whole Europe is behind him now.

And Ed002 I'm very glad that they did because I like him a lot as player and he'd be worth every penny of whatever they were asking.

Kipembe was the most impressive of their cb by far he really did impress me obviously young and raw but physically impressive and good on the ball he knew when he was in a tight spot and knew how to get out of it too.
