I have to mention Kevin Beattie, who passed away yesterday.
What a player he was.
Geoff Twentyman sure knew how to spot ‘em.

He did apparently Ed001 yes.
There was the famous mix up after Beattie had spent a week’s trial at Melwood, when he was due to sign for Liverpool.
He was actually chosen to play in Shankly’s testimonial match and was told by the great man “Aye son, I’ve only made a few mistakes in my life, but (missing) you were one of the biggest”.
Beattie and Keegan had some right ding dong battles, about evens maybe as well.
Great player and still highly thought of in Carlisle and Ipswich.

Autumn has an N at the end. It could be an error, but I think it is still just parents trying to be modern and original while making everybody else (by which I mean me) think they’re just dicky bows.

Got to love Kante, though. Just why does he have to play for that lot?
