Hi eds and reds,

Coming to the end of the first month of the season now and just interested to know who people think deserve this month's player of the month?

Quite a few contenders but I would go for Milner. The man seems to be everywhere and has definitely aged like a fine wine haha

Thabks guys.

{Ed001's Note - yep Millie.}

Yes Milner he really has stood out in all 3 so fair play to him.

Milner, van Dijk, Robertson or Wijnaldum for me.

I no milli been good but I'll never not love big Virgil.

Alisson has looked assured in all games so far. Millie started well but he was woeful against palace.

Mo has played well - either scored or assisted goals in every match. Robbo and Mil also been playing well. But Wijnaldum has really stood out in all 3 games - I think he deserves it the most and hopefully he continues this good form!

Gotta agree, think Milner has been great these first three games.

Milner all the way. He's playing the best football of his life.

Milner for me. Althoough in both the crystal palace and brighton games he has been knackered the come the 70 its only because he's been covering so much ground.

Hendo in behind would have helped him a lot more but over the 3 games he has been the best player for me.

Milner has stood out in every game for his all action performances so I wouldn't begrudge him player of the month.

However, I do think Salah's contribution can't be underestimated in the opening 3 games and he would be my pick. He has been involved in what I think were the pivotal moments in all three games. Scoring the opener to settle against West Ham, winning the penalty to take control against Palace, as well as setting up Mane to kill the game off, and scoring the winner in a tight game against Brighton.

Either Salah or Milner would suit me.

For us? Milner. Entire league? Probably Pereya.

Milner has been good but Wijnaldum has been excellent.

Surprised no one mentioned Mane with 3 goals. Personally I'd go for Virgil or Sadio. Salah will get it most months anyway!

I think Salah hasn’t got going yet he’s just such a good player he is still able to contribute. I would go with Milner just now but the front three will kick into gear at some point. It sounds daft since we have scored 7 in 3 but there is another couple of gears I think.

Mane has been good for two games and poor for one, for his standards - Milner has shown why he is a top class professional and stood up when needed, I’d give it him, although if it is a poll, I can see it going to allison.

Clearly Milner for me. In the first game of the season he was everywhere, and influencing play in all areas of the field. Looked like the only player who was fit. In the last game, if he doesn't go for that tackle, Salah does not get the rebound and he does not score. He's not spectacular, but he's very influential; more than is obvious to the eye.
