Ed001 any chance of a minutes silence tonight after hearing about the major bus accident at Old Trafford tonight. Unusual for a parked bus to come crashing down mind.

{Ed001's Note - ouch, harsh but true.}

Only problem is that he's not going to last until the 15th of December at this rate.

Mourinho is a visionary. If his primary tactic of parking an artic lorry in front of the goal fails, Optimus Prime morphs into a catapult and launches balls up top to Chewbacca. Spurs are just lucky that Harry Kane's head has the same circumference as the Enterprise.

Gotta say I thought this was one of the less bus-parked efforts from Mou against a top 6 side. There wasn't much quality for long periods, but it was entertaining for a change.

I love the way he applauded the walking dead end at the end of the game, he reminded me of Negan, Lucille in hand as he's just about to like woodwards head for wasting all that dough on a team with no identity.

I get Mourinho some times, people talk about him over the team - playing Herrera as a cb, no lose, if it works genius, if it doesn’t, people think he’s making a point.
But why oh why does he insist on pogba being the only option off the bench. He already has Lukaku, adding another lump isn’t a plan b.
Telling Rashford to sit down as Fellaini is the last resort, time and time again, and rarely it works. Put Lukaku with a striker and two wingers if you need goals, see what happens. No point having two big lumps, when neither can get on the end of each other’s knock downs. They have some decent footballers too, so they could play good football if any of them were even in the same book never mind the same page. Sanchez is a shadow of his former self, lingard has decent spells but he rarely has anyone to pass to when he gets forward, and he just has lukaku taking up space near him, and pogba is like Van Dijk in midfield. He can stroll through games, but still be good, just you feel if he put in even 75% effort he could be unplayable. Genuinely think Mourinho is a toxic presence, there’s a reason he can’t stay more than 3 years. Too many mind games, let’s be honest these are footballers not Dan brown, sometimes they just need an ego stroke, l not a riddle.

Laughed out loud at that JK23. Mourinho and Manchester United were a bad fit from the off. Rest of the season is going to be interesting.

There’s therapy for that 😁.

You're correct Ron but it costs too much to be paid by the NHS!

That is priceless JK but you had it slightly wrong. the bus crash was not because they parked it, but because they tried to drive it for a change, but have had so little practise.

Man Utd to their credit actually tried to play, but they still looked so disjointed, and also were so leaky at the back, that once they went 2-0 down it was all over. Mourinho couldn’t help himself and brought in Fellaini which just put the icing on the cake for me.

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Ed01 or Ed02 or any of the eds, have you meet/ talk with Mourinho in person? If you have, how is he in person?

Apart from the moaning, and the volatile nature of most of his news conferences, he seems/ sounds like a really smart and wise man.

{Ed002's Note - Mr Mourinho is a very nice and very gracious man.}

Klopp, Pep and Poch would all make this Man Utd unit a very dangerous team indeed, I recon. Mourinho's tactics are fast looking outdated. He needs to adapt or he'll fail because no shiny new centre back would've solved last nights problems.

They finished 2nd last season. This team isn't as bad as a lot of people make out. The only real weakness they have is their in defence, which is the same problem we've had until recently (and our GK, also)

Agree with RR, it's quite a decent team but the defence is very very suspect, you can see why Mourinho wanted Alderweireld, he was monstrous at the back yesterday. Their team is lacking a LB CB and RW and it would then be a team worthy of challenging for the league. Some of their players aren't good enough though, but it's definitely not all of Jose's fault like they say, their players have to take responsibility, something they've failed to do for the past 5/ 6 seasons.

{Ed001's Note - it got second because he had them well organised, not because they are the second best team. Now they are a disorganised mess they are struggling.}

I actually quite like Jose. Wouldn’t want him at LFC mind you but I think he deserves some credit for finishing runners up with the current team, which I think was a point he was trying to make recently. If I was manager of those players I’d probably Park the bus as well. Transfers haven’t worked in his favour either. Don’t get me wrong I don’t care that he and Man Utd are struggling currently, but I certainly don’t think it’s all his fault.

Exactly Sarri. i think Jose's biggest problem is what to do with Pogba, similarly, Emery has the same problem with Ozil and to a lesser extent, ramsey.

I see what you're saying Ed but the point i'm making is that their team isn't that far off, the disorganisation is coming from the back, their 'defenders' are awful. I don't see how he can afford to let his players of the leash and attack when the defence crumbles whenever they're attacked hence the more defensive approach. I'll always back Mourinho because he gave me my first memories as a Chelsea fan; and i don't agree with all this s*** he's dealing with from the media, not all of it is justified eithe hence why i'm backing him loads, despite him being at United.

{Ed001's Note - so is the midfield. Fred can't control the ball, Pogba would rather strut than make effort, Lingard is trying to do everything for everyone else and Herrera had no idea what he was meant to be doing. The best player they have sat on the bench watching while the bewigged tit was brought on instead of him. The problem is the manager is not getting the best out of what he has.}

28 Aug 2018 13:33:17
Rashford should have been put been on mind, never came on at all, what do you think the solution is to sort out the mess?

{Ed001's Note - a manager who wants to be there would be a start.}
