Eds25 you've got to be well disappointed if you don't finish above us given the money Everton have spent.

{Ed025's Note - we wont finish above liverpool ace and i dont think even the most ardent blue would expect us to, to be competitive is our main aim mate and i think (nay hope) that the new signing can gel quickly and give us something to smile about..

Think you have had a decent window ed025, think it may take a few games to get up to scratch but think you will have a good season and be best of the rest.

{Ed025's Note - bit early to tell yet WYred, i think we have done very well myself and your right that it may take time to gel, but i think we are going in the right direction mate..

Every year, just at the start of the season. We all have ideas and thoughts as to how the league will pan out. Pundits make claims due to transfers as to who will win, who will struggle and it NEVER works out how we think. NEVER. Everton could easily be top of the league come November. Quite often there are unfancied teams in the top 4 come christmas.

After Chelsea won the league z couple of years ago, we all thought they would retain it, or be close. They were miles off. People even thought Leicester might finish top four after winning the league, I think they were lucky to not get relegated. They were certainly in a relegation battle for some time.

My point is, we are expecting big things but our players may need to bed in, it might not be immediate. We need to be patient. We want the league, if it doesn't happen this season then we still have a fantastic team next season, players who are well bedded into the team.

Who knows maybe utd will run away with it, maybe we will struggle away from home. Maybe spurs will run away with it. We know kane has 30 odd goals in him?

I hope we get off to a flier but Bobby is not fully match sharp, fitness wise. Henderson the same, and trent.

Just to clarify. I believe we can win the league and I expect us to be in the running. I hope everyone doesn't throw the toys out of the pram if our new Players are not immediate super stars and we don't start flying. Or if salah doesn't score for a while. I thimk we will be fine but there is no guarantee.

There'll be toys thrown out of the pram if we don't whip the Hammers on Sunday. That's just a sad fact of life.
