By the looks of it lfc transfer window is done. I for one would giv us a solid A. Needed a keeper, strengthen midfield and a back up option for one if the 3 lads up top so all good in my opinion. Fekir looked like might have happened but things don't always work out so good luck to him weather he stays at Lyon or moves onto another club. My only reason for not giving us and A+ at the min is regarding the outs. In my opinion ings, origi, markovic, and either mignolet or karius should have been moved on. Hopefully we haven't prices them out of a move they all need.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool has indeed priced players out of a move again.}

Hi Ed, this isn't the first time you've said that or I thought it.

Do you know what the thinking is behind this approach?
I would have thought it isn't business sense to set unrealistic prices for a depreciating asset.

Thank you.

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool have done it before as you suggest.}

I don’t want to stop a mans career of course but slightly selfishly if Ings does stay it gives us a better squad. I think he’s a natural goal scorer and fits Klopps style of play more than our other strikers and would be a great back up to Bobby.

I know we have Studge but we can’t rely on his injuries. I know Ings has been unlucky also but very unlucky if all three injured at same time. We have Solanke but let’s be frank here we are aiming for top spot from city and they have Ken and Jesus as options.

All of these players can still be sold to European clubs up until the end of August.

I hope Ings would be allowed to leave today - for a reasonably fair amount. Would be a big blow to him otherwise.

I know the market is really crazy at the min and we ovcourse want the best prices available for our players but surely comon sense prevails and we negotiate on a price. I. e. if believed the amount wanted for ings is 20m but other club offer 10m then a common ground of say 15m would make sense. I don't get all the fundematals of the money but that's hat it seems like to me.

As much as Studge has had a solid pre-season, I think we all know what to expect with him with injuries at this point. If we can't get what we want for Ings then I think keeping him is a good thing. Prefer him over Origi and Solanke and it's a toss-up between him and studge.

Have to agree with Ed002 here. The club has tried to screw around with selling of players again. So much for M. Edwards being a messiah.
We could have sold Ings by putting more realistic price tags on Ings, Ojo and Origi at least. Clearly that bit us in the a*** badly and we are stuck with 3 players who will barely get a game now. Migs will be loaned out and sold for a pittance next summer, same for Markovic. Danny Ward was our only significant outgoing, which is extremely poor for a club like LFC which was looking to raise money be selling at least 6-7 players.

I feel for Ings if he doesn’t get a move after a horrific couple of years injury wise he deserves the chance to go a play regularly somewhere.

Same can be said about Lyon and Fekir - priced out of a move.

Aren't you 'there's a price pay it' kinda guy?

We named our price, the club's should of met it or they don't get the player.

Teams do it to us and we do it back :)

{Ed002's Note - Yes it seems the club is as stupid as some of the fans.}

Some people just like to complain! We don’t sign enough players, complain. We don’t sign the right players, complain. We don’t sell enough players, complain. People expect us to pay the asking price for players we want but also take whatever is on offer for our own players. Michael Edwards and the club have done great work over the last couple of seasons, this summer is no different. The European transfer window doesn’t close for another 3 weeks, not does the Championship loan window.

Are Liverpool doing any different to any other selling club? Did Lyon price Fekir out of a move? Nobody signed him! Prices are crazy these days, who can argue what the right price is for a player.

I think Origi, Markovic and Mignolet can still find new homes (sale or loan) before the end of the month, somewhere in Europe. I hope that's what the club is thinking. Having Ings and Ojo around is not such a bad thing for the club, but definitely not so good for the players. If all 5 end up staying, however, it will end up being a fiasco of sorts. They are all beyond spending a season with the U23's, and it obviously will do no good for either the club or their careers.

I think 20mil for Ings is more than fair. Where would we be able to buy a player who scored 20 0dd goals in his last full season in a competitive league for less than 40mil.

15mil for Ings is an insult. The guy is a goal machine. Maybe we want to keep him and will in fact sell Solanke to rangers, or loan him (I hope) meaning brewster steps up a place and Ings becomes a real option off the bench.

I love Sturridge but he will get injured pretty soon, we all know it. We would be in real trouble without a proven goal scorer.

In fact I see our cf as a bit of a problem. We are hoping to challenge for the league. But if Bobby gets injured who steps in? Sturridge hopefully but when he is injured. I really like Solanke but can he get us the league title? We don't have a class cf to come in if Bobby and Sturridge get injured.

I actually think Ings could step in and get us there. I know some of the Eds don't rate Ings that highly but this is what happens when a player has been out for so long. Adam lallana was criticised last season but he was injured. Before the injury he was probably the best am in the league or top 3 anyway. We even forgot how good a fully fit Sturridge was. We have never seen Ings. He has scored on his brief cameo role and also created a few good chances.

I agree with another poster who said they selfishly hope Ings will stay. Bobby has been very lucky with injuries, he is strong. But even strong players get hurt. Especially coming off the back of a 20 odd goal season. He will get the treatment from opposition cbs now, more so than before. My point, all players get injured and bobby is over due one. God I hope it doesn't happen but of it does, do liverpool have the player who can step in and get us the league?

In a perfect world I would like to sell Ings and Origi and bring in a goal scorer. But that looks decidedly unlikely.

If Firmino gets injured Salah would play up front with the cube at right wing.
