So how do people think the top 6 will look come May Next year?
My predictions are:
1. Liverpool
2. Manchester City
3. Chelsea
4. Manchester United
5. Arsenal
6. Tottenham

Liverpool being top is a bias opinion and I WANT it to happen more than I think it WILL happen but if anyone can stick it to city it will be us, we beat them 3 times last year so if we tighten up at the back and produce the same level of consistency against the smaller teams like they do, we could be in for a shout no? Optimism

City in second is obvious, it's us or them this year for me. Other than some sort of repeat of Leicester's recent crazy season I can't see this one going any other way. They are expected to be the best team again this season.

Chelsea looked to be a bit of a shambles up until a few days ago, now I really think they could go on to be one of the better teams this year. If they keep hold of Hazard and replace Willian and Courtois with Kepa, Kovacic, Fekir and Jorginho I think they will have done brilliant business. Kepa is not a huge step down from Courtois and they already have some of the best defenders in Alonso and Azpilicueta. They will have a midfield to rival anyone's and the only position they will still need improvement would be strikers. If they get Morata firing they will be a strong unit all round.

United look to be falling apart before the season has begun. History doesn't read well for Mourinho when it comes to his Third season in charge of a club. United's squad from last season was filled with holes that needed plugging and so far they have bought 1 midfielder and a 19 year old fullback. One thing you cannot take away from them though is that they still finished Second last season and they have an annoying nack for pulling results out of nothing. Despite finishing 6 (7 points adrift of top 4) Mourinho won 2 trophies in his first season and even Van Gaal won the FA cup during his short reign. One thing is for sure, unless something drastic happens in the next 24 hours, they will not be pushing for the title.

Arsenal are the dark horses for me this year, I can't help but think that Wenger's stagnant style of management was holding this club back and with a fresh look and a squad which on paper would please any new manager, they could turn it around this year. They are packed with world class players that just need a little dusting off and polishing. That being said I think it will take time to build momentum again and it is too early to think about breaking back into the top 4.

I don't think Spurs can go another season with the bare minimum in transfer activity and expect to still be competing at the top. They have a very good striker and a fairly rounded squad with some decent players like Son, Ali, Trippier and Errikson but over the last 3 seasons of the senior players the only ones that have added something to the squad are Trippier, Son, Alderwield, Sanchez, Aurier and Moura. With just over 24 hours to go until the window closes it seems like they are happy to go into next season with the same squad as last year. It certainly shows confidence in your squad.

This post was much longer than I had intended, sorry!

1 City 2 Liverpool 3 United (de Gea) 4 Tottenham (because of their existing quality) 5 Chelsea 6 Arsenal

I think we have the best 11 but City have a better squad. Everyone will underrate Tottenham due to not signing anyone but that doesn't mean they don't already have quality. United are United, never underestimate them, especially when they have the best keeper in the world.

Think city purely depends on other teams attitudes. If teams turn up rolling over and having their belly tickled like last season then no one will catch city. However if teams have a go and get in there faces teams can pick up points against them.
Either way all we can do is take it game by game and see where it gets us.

I think this coming season is the best shot we will have had at winning the title in a decade. The reasons I can think of are : 1) We've had the best off-season of the top 6 teams in terms of players coming in and being available for training and the games, 2) ManU seems unsettled thanks to Moanrinho briliant psychological warfare work against his own players, 3) Chelsea and Arsenal have new managers who have never managed in the EPL before; it takes time to learn the ropes and the rhythm of the season (not everyone can do a Conte and win in their first season), 4) ManC is the most serious rival but I firmly believe Klopp has Guardiola's number (shown many times), 5) Spurs will be in "standby" mode until their stadium is ready to receive them back, and 6) Klopp is under tremendous pressure to finally deliver after quite a few seasons without trophies and title wins; he must show measurable progress over last year's UCL Final apearance with either a win this time or an EPL title.

I don't think Arsenal have done enough to get top 4 and I don't think Liverpool have done enough to win the league. They should get closer to City but it depends on what happens before the window closes, for all the clubs.

As it stands at the minute, for me City, Liverpool, United, Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal.

I don’t see spurs third. They haven’t bought anyone and they are losing Alderweireld at some point but also don’t play him. On top of that aren’t Dembele and Rose set to leave?

I think they will be fourth or fifth this season as CL will take its tol along with the other cups.

Jonesred, I hope you're right, I'd much prefer to see Arsenal in their top 4 place but I don't know, I see them having another strong season.

I honestly think people are underestimating Arsenal. They have some big players, and it’s all up to Emery to get them ticking together.
Gk: Cech + Leno
Def: sokratis, Montreal, Bellerin (not the best but they have reinforced since last season)
Mid: toreira
Attacking mid: Ozil, mkhi
Strikers: Lafayette, Aubameyang.

Klopping - on talent alone, I'd say that Auba, Ozil and the Bellerin of two years ago are the only ones that get near our first XI, and only Ozil would be semi-guarenteed of starting - Bellerin would have work to do to dislodge TAA and Auba would have to score enough to justify occuping the space that Mane and Salah want to use.
