Curious how others would like to see the team setup for our first game against West Ham.

I'd like to see Allison of course at GK.

TAA, Gomez, VVD and Robbo in a back 4 Given Lovren won't be ready after the WC I prefer Gomez over Matip or Klavan.

In midfield I'd go for Fabinho, Keita and Milner (given Hendo also late return from WC) . Milner as captain and to add an experienced head in midfield given Keita and Fabinho are both new to the league.

Upfront I'd go Mane, Firmino and Salah, but if not reasy yet I'd start Sturridge upfront and put Firmino on the bench along without Shaqiri.

Broadly agree with you. Only change I think TAA may not be ready, especially if you are saying Hendo and Firmino won’t be.
In that case I might start with Gomez on the right and Klavan to partner vvd, or use Clyne to replace TAA from your lineup.

Also think it’s a toss between Milner and Gini depending on how Gini gets up to fitness in the remaining pre season games. Won’t be surprised if it is actually Milner Gini and Keïta with fab on the bench to give him some time to blood in.

I might include Shaqiri for Milner. Still deciding. Once I've decided I will call Klopp and let him know.

I agree, they have a strong looking squad now, particularly in the CM’s. I doubt they’ll just be sitting back and letting us play hence the combative midfield.

Signings that need time to gel Drogie mate, imo the signings they've brought in won't change their position in the league much.

Completely agree with that lineup SGRed. One thing I'd absolutely love to see this season is Gomez getting more chances at CB.

I really like gomez and perhaps I'd put him at rb. Not sure. I think the back 4 I've picked is the most solid defensively and the midfield is pretty solid too but with plenty of creativity.

Up front picked itself except shaqiri. Of course Bobby would be 1st choice but Id like to see what shaq can do.

TAA only played one game at the WC and it was a dead rubber. Hendo on the other hand played all the other games. TAA will be ready.

Interesting reading some of the lineups proposed. A common theme seems to be that Lallana doesn't even make the bench!
