Made me laugh earlier reading that "Bobby is ok" comment! Few of you might recognise me from the Chelsea page but I like to lurk on your page as it's a good community. I love our team and wouldn't swap most of our players for yours (don't shoot me down boys) but Firmino is unbelievably good and for me probably in the top 6/ 7 players in the league along with Kante, Hazard, Salah, Kane, KDB and Silva.

Thank you Saim, nice to see Bobby get the recognition he deserves.

Spot on Saim, completely agree mate. Too many people judge attacking players on goals scored and don't take into account what else they do on the pitch.

Totally agree mate, I wouldn’t swap Salah for Morata - oh wait, you had him😜😜

Jesting aside, Bobby is key to our front three and one of the most important players we have!

We couldn’t play how we do without him it really is that simple. Bobby always does his defensive work which is why our wingers don’t always have to. We can play with so many attacking players with such freedom because when we lose the ball he’s as diligent as any midfielder that’s why we can get so many attacking players on the pitch without being unbalanced.

For me Firmino is one of the top 10 strikers in the world, I don’t think I’d swap him for anyone else.

In my book Chelsea gave 3 players who would get in our team

Hazard
Azpliucueta and
Kante.

But we have mane
Van diike and
Keita so it's not a problem.

Nice of you to give Bobby the recognition he deserves. Tbf, Chelsea fans are pretty good like that. The send off for Gerrard was a classy touch.

Good post, although you have got to include David de Gea in that list of best players. I know he's not an outfield player but he saves United many points.

People who don't watch certain teams on a regular basis may well incorrectly judge their players contribution to a team. They're likely to base their opinion purely on statistics, failing to recognise a players overall ability and how they fit into the system played. However what really baffles me about the Firmino comments is the fact that even if you disregard his overall contribution and focus purely on the statistics. His goal scoring record last season is comparable to most top strikers. I really can't understand where people wanting a new first team striker are coming from.

Is it just because he isn't 6'2 or absurdly quick? because other then the fact that he doesn't fit the stereotypical image of a number 9, nothing comes to mind.

firmino is key to our playstyle no doubt. can't wait to see him play with naby keita this season.

Agreed kaizer, it looks like the team is built around him. Two pacey, powerful wingers next to him and a robust midfield behind him.

I absolutely love firmino, he is the player I would least like to lose. I would be as sad as when Gerrard left. I also think he is the lynch pin that holds the team together.

Everyone says Firmino is underrated so then surely that means he's not underrated? I've never understood that narrative.
