Hi Ed001

Just thinking ahead to the start of the season, are there any players who have been involved with the world cup set to miss our first game v WHM? Or should all be back ready and fit?

{Ed001's Note - Lovren, Henderson and TAA would be doubtful mate.}

Owe really. Bloody hell 3 starters missing . Thanks to the bloody World Cup lol.

{Ed025's Note - none of them will be missed really..

Hopefully England will go back to form and resume getting out at group stage so we won't have this issue again.

Well they are unlikely to get a run as easy as this anyway.

Lol Ed025. Everton would not be missed either in the EPL. Just replace them with Stoke or WBA and nobody would notice.

{Ed025's Note - i would suggest that losing a club like everton (5th most successful team in english history) would be sorely missed IB...and who would you have to laugh at display your bitterness about then?..

Spot on, Ed. As long as our midfield starters and the Dreaded Three-Headed Monster up top are fit (with Fekir in behind, hopefully), I'm good with that. The rest, we're going to have to improvise.

When you look at it like that. Think Tottenham could be missing

Kane
Alli
Dier
Trippier
Rose
Vertonghen
Alderweireld
Lloris
Dembele

Id say we got quite lucky.

Indian Buzzer, i think everton will be a decent side this season. I think they have done the right thing moving on rooney.

and lookman is a handy piece of work who i think will be the suprise package this season!

ed's what are your thoughts on who is going to be a disapointment and who's going to suprise us next season.

{Ed025's Note - i cant see much change at the top to be honest SR, the gap between the have,s and have not,s seems to be getting wider mate, wolves could be the surprise package i think ..

So you blue boys do care what the red side think, Ed025.

{Ed025's Note - not me personally morgy but im sure some will mate..

Woah ed025. Just banter buddy. The only reason I say stuff like that is coz your really sporty about stuff like that.
Everybody, especially LFC fans would notice if Everton were not in the league. Walloping the toffees is a different kind of satisfaction altogether, especially with no Fat Sam to park the bus.

{Ed025's Note - we will be a different kettle of fish this year IB and expectations will be low, liverpool look very strong but not everything pans out the way it should mate, i think i would trade everton not doing very well if the reds were to fall flat on their faces i think, but thats not bitterness just friendly rivalry.. :)

Everton will be lucky to finish top 8.

Is it only our players at the World Cup?
We have 4 that will still be on holiday the first week of August,
Man United have 7: Jones, Young, Lingard, Rashford, Fellaini, Lukaku, Pogba.
City have 7: Kompany, De Bruyne, Stones, Walker, Sterling, Delph, Mendy.
Chelsea 7: Cahill, Lofus-Cheek, Kanté, Giroud, Courtois, Hazard, Batshuayi.
And Spurs 9: Kane, Alli, Dier, Trippier, Rose, Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Dembele, Lloris.

If anything we should have an advantage at the start of the season.

West ham are signing a lot of players spend in lot of money could be a very hard game.

I was about to say West Ham are building a decent looking squad, they are doing what Everton did last year only better.

I fancy Everton to win the league after their emphatic win yesterday. When was the last time Liverpool or City beat a team 22-0? Saying that I don't think we've ever played an amateur team for a pre-season friendly.

Only seems like yesterday ed025 that you were ramming down our throats about your new sugar daddy changing the landscape!

I assume therefore the 'have and have not' comments relate to having and not having a decent team, stadium, fan base, culture etc etc you know, the things you can't readily buy. well, team maybe you could fudge together with daddies help if he's prepared to weigh in!

{Ed025's Note - we are a project marshy and a team in transition, its not a quick fix but we will get there and farhad will spend a lot wiser in the future after we got burned last season due to trying to fix things with a scattergun method, we have money and will be buying a lot wiser now that brands is in charge, we are still a massive club and still the pride of meseyside as most scousers support the blues which is where liverpool lose out as they have lost their identity locally, we are on the way back and thats bad news for the rest of the prem as there is going to be a new sheriff in town and he is all blue mate..

Okay, I might be in the minority, but I want everton to do well. I’m just sick of the Manchester clubs and the London clubs. I think it will be good if both everton and us do good. Obviously I want us to destroy them when we play each other and we will obviously be higher in the table than them. But I do want them do do better.
