LFC are one of many clubs who been looking at Molde FK's 17 year old striker Erling Braut HÃ¥land. He is the son of former Man City player Alf Inge HÃ¥land. I don't know if LFC are one of clubs intrested, but they have watched him on atleast a couple occasions, and Molde are now in talks with clubs from England, Germany and Italy over a transfer. I would imagine he will be looking for first team football, so LFC is probably not an alternative, but they have been looking at him.

{Ed002's Note - Haaland is a child and should stay away from major sides for now. Juventus have had a couple of offers knocked back whist Manchester United, Hoffenheim and HSV have made enquiries. The kid is apparently a Leeds supporter so perhaps they would provide an option.}

Ed, whatever happened to the new young superstar that went to Madrid. If I can recall he trained at Melwood a couple of times.

{Ed002's Note - 18 months ago having had some time to demonstrate his immaturity in Madrid, Martin Odegaard needed to get out on loan and get some game time for a while (two years). Getafe were offering that but he wasn't interested. Bayern Munich were providing the offer of a more permanent solution for him but Carlo Ancelotti would not have had him in the first team and the club would not have come close to his wage demands. The player had been offered to several clubs but the deal is that he has to play - and he was 17 then. Hamburg and Borussia Mönchengladbach were asked to provide a more sensible solution but they certainly would not commit to paying what he earns at Real Madrid for the next two years. Rennes had an offer rejected to take him on loan with a commitment to play him if Real Madrid pay his wages. In the end he went to Heerenveen with RM funding it. Right now Martin Odegaard is on their very lengthy list of players made available – and should be a lesson learned. Another loan is likely.}

Very obvious, his agent. agent not thinking about the player or his career just their own bank balance.

You would think young players would look at past examples like this and look to join clubs that will offer the playing time they need to progress. To be fair Dembele at Fulham and the other one at Celtic seem to have put their careers before money so hopefully they are starting to think about it but there is still a lot of talent at big premier league clubs that won’t get the opportunities they need.

I believe at the time his father was the one acting for him and on his behalf. The boy made a mistake a club like Ajax would have been the best option for him to develop in a decent league at such a young age. The wages Madrid paid however are just crazy!

Dembele from Fulham and the one from Celtic is the same Dembele. He mived to Celtic from Fulham.
