Now the Echo are saying Klopp has advised Ward he has a chance at being our number 1 next season. Our keeper situation is comical. Whst a kick in the balls that will be for Karius if true. Also means we probably don't need a new keeper.

He's been messed about so much by us, if I were him I would look to seek assurances of gametime or leave this summer. He's a good player and it's a shame he's barely had a chance.

Isnâ€™t that what pre season is for? To assess players and give them a chance to impress. If Ward plays well and does better than Karius why shouldnâ€™t he become number 1, itâ€™s called healthy competition.

I hope Karius moves on for his own sake. As much as I'd love him to prove a point and become a solid GK for us, he does not deserve the vile "fans" trying to make his life a misery.

Good luck with that, Ron as Ed02 just responded to you better than I would have. You are hoping that it happens for Ward whereas there is NO evidence on record that it will happen. Again, good luck with that.

Iâ€™ve said he must have a chance of being number 1. Look at Pope last season, Heaton was a clear #1 and doing well until he got injured. Pope came in and made the England squad.

There is obviously â€œa chanceâ€.
