I really don't think Karius can start the season at number one, his head looks gone and I also think that while we do need a new goalkeeping coach, the mistakes that Karius is making are amateur level mistakes that he shouldn't be making regardless of coaching!

Just buy a new keeper and wish karius luck in the future, he's not good enough but that's as far as it should go, no need for threats or obscene messages on social media.

I think there is more to it than he is not good enough. I believe he has the talent. If it is true that the concussion had an adverse affect on him in the CL final then it is overly simplistic to just say he isn’t good enough. Clearly he is good enough in my opinion. Many are overlooking the clean sheets he had during the season and the improvements made in the defense since he took over. It is psychological at this point. It also doesn’t help when people are absolutely destroying him on social media and saying horrific things about him and his family.

I've done lots of mistakes in my life. Some of them are repeated mistakes. But I will always try to not to repeat them, at least most of them. What's the difference with these players then?

No dig at him from a personal perspective, but he's not good enough as a player to play at the level that our club should be at. Needs replacing asap.

Stone, it’s ok having the talent, but making big mistakes on a regular basis makes him not good enough, he could make three brilliant saves a game but one mistake could cost us and that’s why I don’t think he’s good enough personally.

My last word on Karius for 12 months at the request of MKS and aoe.

Look at the Bournemouth game, the CL final and last night.
It’s the same problem - he can’t handle hard shots fired straight at him. That’s a serious technical flaw, it’s not concussion, it’s not mental and it’s been there since one of his first games for the club. He has not addressed it successfully and I have no confidence that he will address it at our club. End.

Completely agree ron, it’s simple mistakes that a Sunday league keeper shouldn’t make, let alone a keeper in a team wanting to compete for league and UCL titles. Just need to accept he’s not going to make the grade and bite the bullet and spend on a new keeper.
