Corentin Tolisso apparently is a huge Steven Gerrard/ Liverpool fan and his dream is to one day play in the Premier League. Imagine a midfield of Keita (L), Fabinho (C) and Tolisso (R) .

No way Bayern would sell him in my opinion and no evidence Klopp is interested, but it has been slow on here lately so just thought I'd post the latest rumour in the press!

MK, seen plenty of reports and rumours, mainly Liverpool related sites and fan pages though, of Porto LB Alex Telles. 35mil release clause. I doubt the accuracy of the reports however it would make for some interesting and no doubt, heated debate about who would start, he or Robertson? If such reports are true, which Im doubtful of btw, you would have to assume he would be first choice LB, as I doubt Liverpool are in the position to be buying 35 million pound bench warmers that would play minimal games.

Just to bring a bit more heat in your story. ;)

Rummenigge said that they will listen to offers [. ] especially the midfield is very crowded.

Klopp Mania, he is fantastic and only 23 years old. Last season he played about 2500 minutes of football because of how many midfielders Bayern have, but he still managed 10 goals and 7 assists.

He is a powerful runner on and off the ball, breaks into the box and beyond the forward line, has a lethal shot anywhere inside 30 yards, a good finisher off both feet or his head, he csn hit a cross field diagonal effortlessly, and his ability to see a pass in behind and weight it perfectly is as good as anyone in world football right now. His weaknesses are all defensive. He doesn't read the game well and his tackles are a bit aimless but that's just not his game.

In January when Macca said we were after a top French International, I'm pretty sure I said at the time that I hope it is Tolisso. He wouldn't be a like for like replacement for Coutinho because he isn't that kind of silky, flair player. He's a bit more heavy metal than orchestra. Not too dissimilar to Oxlade-Chamberlain actually, but just with more quality.

That is a very interesting comment if legit, Crammie. I won't believe he is an option for us though until I hear it from the Eds and they've not mentioned him once as an option for us. So this is a very hypothetical discussion.

Brisbane I saw those Telles rumours. Great wing back but he really cannot defend. His set piece delivery in particular is incredible though and he can play on the left of midfield too. Would be an interesting option, but again he is just anothervrandom player right now. I'd prefer him as a squad option to Moreno though!

{Ed002's Note - Liverpool have never shown any interest in Tolisso and Liverpool has never been offered him. In recent years there have been three English sides showing some level of interest or other but the move to Bayern last year was decided over the then interest of Juventus after Arsenal had stepped back. Bayern are letting a couple of Midfield players leave, but Tolisso is not one of them.}

Bayern would sell him they got goretzka now. for the right money they may sell.
however as for tollisso he is a very hit and miss player. i don't see how he is any better than hendo at all.
entire france team is overhyped beyond realms of reality imo. i would stay clear from WC fever and french players.
if i wanted a midfielder to add numbers (i don't think we need one) i would go for aaron mooy. he kept an entire football club in EPL last season, severely underrated. he is something different from all types of midfielders we have.

Cheers for the information Ed002. I didn't for one minute expect him to be a realistic option anyway so I didn't get my hopes up.

Congratulations on your team winning the charity game by the way mate.

{Ed002's Note - Tactics and a vigorous team talk.}

And Benny bribed the ref but that's a minor detail 😉

Thanks for your help though in all seriousness. Thanks to you buying the yellow kit, the charity pot was a few hundred quid better off!

{Ed002's Note - Really appreciate it. I will see if I can find a sponsor for next year.}

Ed002, might I recommend RTFP Ltd? They are financial advisors based in Gloucestershire, UK. No particular reason why I suggest them 😉.

Bayern just signed Tolisso last season for a shed load of cash and he has impressed massively to the point of being a starter for France in a midfield where it is not easy to get into. No way on earth he is leaving Bayern and in fact IMO, their midfield will be built around him in the coming years.
